Much better than the previous bottle from the same case. I got these wines last year and I'm not sure how the storage was, and there is clearly bottle variation going on here. Drink soon anyway.

I was surprised to find that this is more mature than the 2009 vintage. It has more body also, but the tertiary flavours are all the way from bouquet through end. Needs some air, better with food, dink now.

First night was pretty bad, like licking a piece of wood. Tried on night two and significantly better. Oak more integrated, more fruit. Very round and soft but fairly straightforward. Alcohol noticeable and a bit out of balance. This really needs time in the air to be drinkable but hard to tell if it get much better with time. 87 based on second night.

A very a competent wine produced to mature early and drink well from now and maybe 5 years. Since it rather tight and complex it needs lots of airing. Even opening 24 hours ahead and decanting. We had it maturing from an afternoon tasting to a dinner over until the next day. It was coming to its full right after 20 or so hours. Lots of fruit, cherry, liquorice on the nose and pencil and classic cab on the pallet. Long aftertaste with salvia and liquorice. 2010 is a great year.

This wine drinks much differently with air. It is tight out of the bottle, with high acid, and a balance issue, though still tasty. Without air it drinks like many $10 Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon offerings.
With several hours of air this 'Bad Boy' opens into a completely different wine. It features great texture, awesome balance and grip, and a long, full finish. Air morphs it into a full-bodied wine, of awesome weight, and great mouthfeel with power and depth to spare!

A step-up in structure from the 2010, with a bit more backbone and acid, but not quite the voluptuous fruit of the '09. It was almost as if Thunevin was reading the vintage harvest reports. Still, though, a new world Bordeaux.

In a modern style. Quite heavily extracted, big alcohol, and somewhat over oaked. Big and bold to be sure.
