Ruby red...a little lighter red than most Rhones. It has aromas of berries. It is balanced, dry, smooth and flavors of raspberries on the palate. It has a medium aftertaste.

Ruby red with aromas of dark fruit and a hint of earthinesss. It was medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. Overall, it was a simple and straight forward Rhone for a a great QPR. We really enjoyed it.

Smells of wet stone and a farm land perfume. In the mouth it's dark, wide, bright and dry. Tastes of schist stone, if one were to actually lay himself down to like one. It's delicate and very old-school earthy. The only downside is a active and slightly bitter linger. Otherwise, terrific for the price.

I continue to think this is a great value. Rich and thick and gamey. Lot of depth, I thought. Last night Ann thought just OK, so I guess reasonable minds can differ.

I continue to be glad I bought a lot of this. Last night maybe lacked a little of the depth I remember, but for the price I think this is great stuff. Full of spices, dark red fruit, just enough acidity to balance it out. Not a real summer wine, but the weather has cooled down and will continue to drink this all fall and winter.

Garnet colour. Black fruits and a hint of earth. Medium bodied, balanced, but one dimensional with little complexity. Some heat, but the wine was served too warm. I wanted to like this wine based on Kermit's pedigree, but was disappointed.

Very nice raspberry liquor, and cherry nose with plenty of kirsch and spice. Palate is rather smooth and round, with concentrated red fruits and a layer of spice over top. Fine chewy tannins. Finish is fruit filled and a little short--disappointing given the solid palate and nose. Still a nice mid-week wine that will go well with food. No complaints at this price.

Much better this time around - Velvety and satiny in the mouth with a lovely mouth coating of berries and silky tannins. Very nice and extemely tasty; our bottle went way too fast. 89+

Pretty good for the price. A bit tight upon first opening, did well after 30 minutes open in glass. Black pepper and dried fruit undertones, mellow tannins.

Great food wine. Had an intriguing herbal character to it that played very nicely with braised chicken thighs and wild mushrooms. Very solid Rhone for $11. 88+

Clear ruby red, medium color Moderate intensity youthful aroma of dark red fruits Dry, med-light body Rhone, good acidity, medium tannin level Well made CdR with KLWM notes all over this blend, restrained, finesse come to mind. It seemed to be lacking just a little fruit on the palate that would have been nice with the spicy notes on the medium length finish. Great for $11.

Blend unknown, clearly grenache, perhaps Cinsault and or Counoise, and usual other suspects in some percent. A great wine for the price - under $15 imported? Good red fruit, modest tannins, low alcohol (13.5) . Not complex, but solid. Worth the price, and then some. Minerality, balance, kudos to not over extracted, oaky, or fruity, could be my new house red import.

Unreal QPR. Tastes like a CdP costing 4 or 5 times as much. Last vintage of this I bought a case of was the 2001 or 2003. Hard to remember that far back but I think this is even better. Chewy, earthy, herbal, plenty of dark fruit. Going to get a lot more.

Cherries, earth. A mouthful of summer on a frigid winter day. Stood up perfectly to a mushroom tart and lamb stew. At $8 / bottle this is some of the best QPR I've come across in years. Really good wine.

Drank w/ many friends at bbq - paired perfectly w/ the burgers and spicy sausage. Slightly herbaceous but has a nice clean mid and a fresh but slightly spicy finish. Bouquet was tannic but flat.

Perfectly good, straightforward, Grenache-based wine. A little grapey and vegetal/herbal, but rather pleasantly so. Not jammy, not hot; in fact it's pretty fresh. Some tannic bite--there's oomph to this. At $13 this is seriously good value.

Another fine Cotes du Rhone, opened 5 hours before the meal and slowly sipped until that point. As with the last bottle, Notes of garrigue and kirsch. No metallic taste thanks to a long breathing period and very small tastes in large glasses before the meal. The only downside was serving a very complex Vieux Telegraphe afterwards; it made this very simple wine pale in comparison. Very Good.

Wow. Fantastic QPR. Garrigue and fruit on the nose. Great earth, ripe fruit and garrique spice on the palate. Finish on day 1 was good but marred by a slightly metallic note. On day 3 this was gone and replaced by pure ripe CdR fruit. Please note the references to ripeness do not mean this is overripe. On the contrary, it complements the other Provencal flavors listed. This is a quite versatile food wine too. Very Good.

Great QPR, Kermit knows how to pick them. 09s are just now starting to settle down, and this one is lively but showing well. Medium bodied, nice color. Lots of garrigue on the nose, bit of earth, great nose. On the palate, nicely balanced, particularly the fruit in this bomber vintage...bit of structure... Decent finish. All in all, a quality CDR, takes me to Provence. Gassed and came back on day 3 and finished the bottle, really singing. This should be nice wine for the next couple of years and should evolve nicely over that time, but drinking well now.
