  • Nose: The nose is well layered and aromatic with pears, peaches, red apples, yellow florals, lanolin, and quince notes. There is excellent depth with there being a freshness to the fruit.

Taste: Full bodied with high acidity. There is some youthful punch to the acidity with a broadness to the feel along with pears, red apples, peaches, and lanolin notes.

Overall: While this is drinking well right now, it feels like there is a lot more to give. I would imagine that another 3+ years would be of a benefit.

  • Powerful. Nose like fine white burg. Unique stuff. Not sure what it would pair best with. Curry was too strong for it.

  • Blind tasting. Elegant nose of oxydised apples, vanilla, honey and hint of minth, in the background. Mouth weaker than expected, just enough acidity , some bitterness and a mellow vanilla. Obviously on the way down, lacking a bit of flesh, not yet bonish, but still very good, not for long. Actually after discovering the label, we conclude of a cellaring defect : some years outside cellar, supporting summers...

  • Alcohol 14.5%

Very charming wine, from fruit changed to mineral, from sweetness changed to acidity, from powerful changed to beautiful, from lush changed to love, from love changed into passion.

Tropical fruits, white pepper, white/yellow flowers, limestone, clean and fresh. Great Chenin Blanc indeed.

    The promising !!!

    Drink 2015 - 2045+.............97-93/100...............
