Consumes this final of six bottles in a red burgundy tasting, along side, a 2007 Pommard 1er and a 2007 Charmes-Chambertin GC. This Bojo was pretty and mature, although I did not take formal TNs.

Age has done this beauty well. There a good amount of sediment, so decant. Nose has a dusting of earth, sweet potpourri, red cherries, mushroom. So lush on the palate, a bit of tannin holding on with good acidity. Similar with more ripe red cherry and lavender. I’m impressed.

Bottle 5 of 6. No formal TN, but enjoyed this bottle over 2 nights. Found it to be very mineral-driven, soil-inflected, blackberry and raspberry fruit, iodine, perhaps some cinnamon and road tar. Showing maturing tertiary notes after 9 yrs of bottle age, this wine has a solid core and still has gas in the tank. Drink now through 2022 or so...

Lovely wine, consumed next to a 2009 Pinot from Irancy. The Irancy was more rustic, whereas the gorgeous crunchy red fruit and seamless texture of this Bojo showed beautiful contrast, and this wine was preferred. Delicious, drink now through 2020 or so. Yum.

It has been 2 years since my last bottle of this wine. Boy, has it come along quite nicely! Translucent purple, with aromas of wet rocks, hot road tar, cooking spices, blueberry compote and tart raspberry fruit. On the palate, a med bodied wine, lush tannins showing nice tension and youthful astringency, med(+) acidity, delicious and succulent tart red and blue fruits, nice peppery spice, leading into a med(+) finish that is lip-smackingly good with great depth of flavors. This is a high quality wine, and at the $22 price point, it makes me ponder the need to pay more than this for an amazing vinous experience. Drinking just beautifully right now, this wine will likely continue to further improve for another year or two, and drink beautifully through 2025. So, so good. This is a house to stock up on, for any of their bottlings.

No formal TN. Did quite well in a lineup of PNs at a tasting event. Came across a bit lighter than my last tasting of this wine. A very nice, restrained showing, nonetheless.

Med purple in color at the core, fades to pale purple at the rim. The nose is clean, showing off med intensity notes if warm asphalt, rocks and minerals, blackberry, raspberry. The palate is dry, with med body and med alcohol, showing gorgeous, med intensity flavors of sour black cherry, raspberry, tar, a gently warm herbal spiciness, all poured over wet rocks. This delicious, very good Beaujolais is drinking well already, but will improve with bottle age for another 10 years, minimally, and drink well through 2030. Wow. Cru Beaujolais rocks.

Bought a single bottle to see if I should stock up. Popped and poured and enjoyed over a few hours. Clear, lovely medium ruby color. Slow forming legs that are light medium in color. The nose is in good condition. This is still a youthful wine, showing med intensity aromas of raspberry pit, gravel and moist soil, and a strawberry nuance. A bit floral, quite primary now, but certainly showing depth and complexity. On the palate, this is a dry wine, medium in body and alcohol (listed at 12.5%). The flavors are medium intensity, and come across initially as tart red fruit like sour raspberry and faint strawberry, coupled with gorgeously rounded out plum that is ever-so-background, as well as a gentle spicy character that joins well with the earthy and mineral-driven flavors. The acidity is med(+), just where it needs to be, with sturdy yet fine tannins that i think will allow this wine to age quite gracefully. The finish is med in length, repeating the flavors from the palate, especially tart red fruits washed in perfect minerality. This wine is already drinking nicely, and since I have very little experience with age-worthy Beaujolais, I would estimate a 2-4 year period that this wine will improve in bottle, followed by a 10+ year drinking window. This is a marvelous Beaujolais, and for $20/btl, I need a lot of it in my cellar. Buying the remaining 6 bottles in the store, wish they had a case or more.

The lighter of the two Vissoux Fleurie cuvees. Not especially fruity, lots of minerality. Somehow it was a little hot despite 12.5% abv. Very enjoyable, but I prefer the Les Garants.

An expressive red fruit nose that has a soft, sweet component to it. Delineated red raspberry on the palate, classic stone quality, but shows a bit thin, but balanced.

Good Beaujolais, great luscious red and blue fruits, good salinity with only a touch of sourness. Not the best QPR, but this was a nice, relatively simple wine.

seemingly lighter, certainly more elegant than the other AOC's from Vissoux, more floral too, great balance, gentle palate but with fine pleasantly astringent tannins, very good and should get more

Bright cherries, only slightly subdued with age. Medium-light body. Just enough delicate tannin structure. Buy more.
