Very pleasant surprise as this was so refined and elegant with beautiful light red fruit in a cool style which is so unusual for Chateauneuf du Pape this days. The fruit is still fresh and by no means fading. Great marks from the soil as well.

Decanted for one hour. On the nose vibrant ripe, mellow, slightly confected dark fruit. Light bodied palate, smooth, delivering a bit unfocused dark fruit with a tiny confected/mellowed aspect. Very smooth tannins and gentle acidity. Overall, still quite drinkable and decent for a 14 years old wine, but won´t get any better. Wasn´t quite what I expected from an aged CdP.

Light red. I found this a bit tight at first. It was pretty easy for me to pick this as a 99. Sometimes I get lucky. The domaine is one I don't know. After an aother half hour in the glass this wine started to show really well. pepper and raspberry became very prominent in the nose and the sweet entry and dry finish was beautiful. Definetly decant this wine for an hour or two.

Nice saturday night wine. Earth and graphite on the nose. Starts fairly simple but opens up somewhat over the evening. This is probably at peak now, but no rush to drink the others.

Surprisingly light-bodied and shallow given its 89 point Parker rating (but not its $15 price tag). Pleasant, moderately ripe fruit in the mouth with good structure and length. At peak.

The dark cherry fruit with light pepper spice up the nose and the mouth but Tanzer is spot on with "clenched finish". With about 45 minutes in the decanter we might should have given it more time. The weight of the wine seemed off balance with the flavors or at times uneven in the mouth and finish, again suggesting more air time is needed.

Still holding well. Nice silky texture, everything integrated - not outstanding, but solid.

Mature, still very good, but not getting better. Should probably drink my last 2 in the coming year or so.

A bit disappointing - very average CDP - medium bodied with some tartness on the pallet

Nice, straightforward CdP. Not outstanding, but would have been better with food.
