A solid Cru Bourgeois. Ripe and fleshy with tertiary leather and cigar notes developing. Tannins are sweet and completely integrated. A real pleasure at this stage, with a good 5+ left in the tank.

Solid entry level St Estephe. Ripe, juicy cassis fruits and black berries, a sliver of green pepper, leather and earthy tilled soil. Fleshy palate, ripe sweet tannin. Just about entering its drinking window but would push these for another 5-10 years as I suspect they will become quite lovely once real maturity and age set in. HOLD.

Muted nose but pnp so perhaps did not give it much chance. Earthy, much softer, fruitier and sweeter than I expected with soft dusty tannins left dancing on the gums. Delicious drop and decent QPR for a vintage that was often overpriced at the time.

Quite ripe and sweet for the vintage with dark fruits, notes of coffee and bell pepper. The palate is soft and fruity, not a lot of tannic structure left here. I doubt that this is built for the long haul. But it is a delicious drink now with a beautiful fruit expression and a very full, mouthfilling taste. 16.5/20

Much better than expected. Typical St. Estephe CB. Dark ruby color, fresh and fruity. Dark berries and plums in the nose with hints of leather, tabacco and coffee at the palate. Medium body and perceptable tannins and finish. The 2010 is easy to drink and worth to wait may be five years more.

It is one of these easy to like young Bordeaux wines. Very good, but I am not convinced it will add much complexity over time. Maybe some more fruit in the hiding but it feels like it lacks the true potential. For most drinkers this is not a bad thing it just takes away the thrill of waiting for something great to develop...

A satisfying traditional St-Estephe. Has dusty aromas of blackcurrants, leather, gravel, plums, cassis, door polish and cedar. Its medium bodied powerful palate has lushish yet slightly austere blackfruits on the attack and structured nicely oaked tobaccoey freshly fruited middle. Ends quite long, structured and typically gripping. Way too young to drink. Needs 10 years.

Bordeaux Confidential USA, nose of blueberry pie, cigar box, and minerals, more of the same on the palate, touch simple, lots of soft tannin, tasty fruit, medium body, and medium finish.

Blueberry and blackberry nose. Rather tannic with cedar and tabacco dominating. Earthy and a bit edgy on the finish. It should mellow in a few years and promises more black fruit and balance in nthe future. It is not very dense but still shows considerate potential. Leave it for at least another 3 years.

Medium bodied, tannic, with good freshness, smoke, tobacco, crisp blackberry and earth, this blend of 51% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot will definitely be better, and hopefully soften with 2-5 years of bottle age.

Super dense nose of blueberries and cassis, with seductive undertones of St Estephe earth, old leather and savoury minerals. Tanins are well integrated and only just perceptible. Acidity is adequate - this is not what you'd call a "refreshing" wine. This is also not what you'd call a ready wine. It needs time but promises much. As the wine decanted it became better, with the fruits giving way to some of those wonderful earthy mineral flavours. Time in bottle should help secondary and tertiary aromas to overcome the bullying from all those berry fruits, but the modest acidity may limit the range. Should be good until 2020+. All in all a lovely wine.

Dark red. Very aromatic. Lots of fruit. Full bodied. Not heavy. Prefer wines with less filtration. Very good but seems a bit made.

Blueberry, toasted breadcrumbs, coffee and leather. Classic dense St Estephe but would have liked some more fruit on the palate.

This one has fulfilled its promise and developed very nicely. Softer rounder and fruitier than when i last tasted and a very nice value.
