Feel bad rating it this low, as I feel it was almost certainly a better wine 5 years ago. Was given to me as a gift 3 years ago and properly stored after that, but maybe not beforehand. Wine had nothing left in 2018. Flat, though not acrid or unpleasant, just dull.

Ugh. Think I left this too long. Cork broke apart upon opening despite careful storage. Wine just had nothing left. My fault for forgetting about this until now but waste of $50

I feel like this wine can't decide if its wants to be a Kistler or a Lewis. With flavours somewhere in between, this medium bodied wine had an average nose with some hints of oak and spices, perhaps even some citrus. But as the night wore on, it just didn't get any more interesting. It had a nice dark colour so I kept waiting for it to open up but it did not. The finish was also pretty average, not particularly long with some of the nicer notes of pear and honey trying to come to the surface but just not making an impact, I felt. Given the quality of the year, I was expecting more from this well stored bottle.

Mellow lemon, with some butter cream, and faint oak on the palate. There's a nice little line of acidity burried underneath, though not much of a finish this is drinking well. Very pleasant. Enjoyed over easter lunch with the family.

Just a bit too oaky and lacking in aromatics to join the list of my favorite California chards. Wanted to love it because of their cabs but there are many better choices out there.

Strong citrus flavors and very creamy. This wine has been evolving to a slightly more acidic and yet richer structure over time. Tasted along with the 2009, which came out slightly ahead of the 2007. Never disappoints, always a crowd pleaser.

Reliable, solid chardonnay. If you like this style, oaky and creamy, a really nice wine. Served with sauteed scallops. Has developed more tartness over the past year which balances the wine but nudged my rating down a point.

Taste at Elysian. Medium golden color - day bright. Moderate viscocity. Nose shows ordinary yellow fruit, some oak, vanilla and dish soap - not extremely unique - a little astringent. Palate shows more yellow fruit and the mouth feel is enjoyable. Overall though this is a boring mundane wine and absolutely not worth the price tag. The finish is kind of blah and doesn't show a good mid palate. I'm sure some people would enjoy this a lot more than myself but I wasn't feeling it - a bit hot on the back end too.

Notes from memory - Not my style. Less oaky than many Cali chards, but still entirely too much for my taste. Fans of this style will love this wine. The only redeeming factor was some pretty acidity on the back end which took the dominant oak down a peg or two. I was told this vintage the oak was more tame than in previous years, but I found this to simply not be the case. I guess I should just stay away from Cali chards because IMO they are really over priced for what they deliver and are for the most part, standard and one dimensional. I have only ever had one or two really wow me. I may be in the minority here but I really didn't like this wine.

Golden color. Light on the nose with lemon balm and peach. A creamy medium+ body with tropical fruit, a green apple tartness and a little bit balanced oak. The wine has a nice long finish and nice acidity. A great bottle of Napa Chard that I highly recommend.

Beautiful golden hues almost approaching the yellow tint of a sauternes. Lots of lemon, citric fruit on the nose. Lush, velvety, vanilla, caramel and honey on the mouth.

A really nice, fresh wine on the palate. Very smooth and well balanced. Oak flavor, but not overpowering. Fruity pear flavors and citrus (tangerine) with a nice acidity lingering in the finish. Really enjoyed this wine. (Doris favorite)

Perhaps the best finish of any Napa Chardonnay. An ideal consort to broiled lobster with drawn butter and a winter salad. Palate suggests it could age gracefully, but nicely balanced now.

Room Temp. Buttery apricot nose. A fresh, almost metallic mid-palate at first and a huge finish. After 90 minutes, this rounded out into peach, tarte aux poires, brown butter. 30 sec+ finish. Tasty and large, but needs time to resolve.

Deep yellow with an aroma of rich, baked fruits. The wine is fruit forward of orange, vanilla and baked pear with some minerality, as well as an overall light honey elegance. Long finish.

Lovely wine. Very pale yellow, almost clear. Moderate nose of rich baked fruits -- apple and pear. Finely balanced on the tongue with moderate baked pear and light acidity and some minerality. Full mouthfeel with a bit of oak and butter on the long finish.

A full-blown style, this is tightly wound, with plump peach and pear fruit flavors that are nicely shaded in lightly toasted oak. Persistent, concentrated, but finely detailed on the palate, this is medium to full bodied, but nicely balanced for the style. Long finish that slowly reveals tangerine and butter notes.
