PNP, this wine is very aromatic. In the glass a garnet and a palate very mature with tertiary flavors. Was a fun wine to contrast the 09 Hourglass with the 18 Blueline Merlot.
If you like a mature wine this one is pretty good.
Great balance of CA cab aromas and dark berry fruit flavors. I love the smells, and I especially enjoy the eucalyptus that Blueline brings. Delightful!

Me likey, still a great wine. Lots of dark blue and red crimson fruits are swirled together. Great dusky nose. Drank over 2 days and even better the 2nd. Not in any way a 2nd to the namesake wine. It stands alone and is equally forceful in this vintage. Go get one if you can.

Excellent wine. Coravined several months ago so I finished the bottle. Big juicy California Cab. Lots of red fruits and seemed to be losing its gripping tannins. Still has plenty of years left to lay down and cellar for a long time. Went superbly with or without fruit. Enjoyable experience.

This opaque crimson wine was tasted in single-blind fashion, with the bottle generously provided to our tasting group by T.R. Ripe boysenberries (reminiscent of pancake syrup) dominate the nose and palate, leaving little room for anything else. Full-bodied, round and loaded with alcoholic heat (15.5%), this is not a Cabernet for the faint of heart. Ripe fruit and heat persist throughout the middle palate and medium-length finish, which also shows substantial tannic grip. There will be fans of this heavily extracted wine, but for me it is simply over-the-top. I doubt that cellaring will be helpful, as this wine is lacking balance. Drink now-2019.

Enjoyed this, nose of blackberries and vanilla, incredibly soft mouthfeel with forward fruit, vanilla, black fruit, and expresso. Finish is not as long as I'd expect from this producer.

- Garnet color with slow forming legs. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Beautifully refined and balanced. Opened two hours before getting to the restaurant and left in the glass another hour and it just kept developing and getting nicer. Very soft tannins and as elegant as anything you will find in California.

Tasted at Wally's Napa tasting. Very nice red fruit intensity up front, fades on the mid-palate without much of a finish. For ripe, fruity, vanilla and oak.. you may enjoy this. Others in our group did. We were not fans especially at this price point.

Jammy red and dark berries, soft textures with noticeable heat and some dryness in finish.
