Equally good as 7 months ago. Really excellent and original. But would revise and say these are best drunk now as starting to thin a touch on the finish.

Lovely spot. Bright, fresh, strong zip of acidity. Minerally. Wild blackberries. Definitely several years ahead of it (as I've learned with these wines) but great place now. A unique expression of gamay.

We totally agree with DBP. We loved the "berryness" and the floral highlights that followed, The unanimous glee that accompanied its drinking with French Canadian meat pie and salad was worthy of a much more costly wine. This proves that a wine can be 'fun' and at the same time, excellent.

This wine was really fun. As with most Gamay, it's not entirely serious. It's reminiscent of Cru Beaujolais, but has a certain "Rhone" quality to it that's difficult to explain. We all liked it with beef stew.

This wine was seriously delicious tonight... a real hit with seasoned wine connoisseurs and novice wine enjoyers. Lovely floral notes with energetic red fruit notes coupled with quite a lot of freshness on the nose. Palate showed some frizzante and generally, quite a lot of exuberance. Lovely red fruit and high energy. Like it was an electrified red fruit. Finish was similar and kept you craving for more. Everyone loved this wine tonight. Wish I had more.

Interesting Rhône gamay that was very reminiscent of a light syrah. Nose and palate featured dark fruits, barnyard and pepper. With air, the fruit took on a sour blackberry note; the acidity was very present as well. Overall, really enjoyed this delightfully tasty, even if a bit confusing, wine.

Flowery, candied aroma with banana sweets. Leather and some spiciness coming up with some coaxing. Nice taste with a bit of structure, serious, tasty. Just a little short on the finish.

This needs air to get the best out of it but once it's taken a few breaths it's a different wine. Fresh, crunchy red berries with that lovely gamay savouriness but also a florality you would expect from northern rhone, and a not unpleasant hint of the farmyard lingering in the background. Had with hawksmoor roast beef and it stood up to the challenge. Interesting wine.

Paul S nailed this in his tasting note below - this is indeed a proper geek wine. Imagine a northern rhone mixed with a top quality Beaujolais and use every single bio-dynamic technique you can image and you have this wine. Impressive nose - strawberry, pepper, meat, tangy fruits. On the palate this has a freshness that these natural wines seem to throw out and a tangy, orange peel and horse-poop element. Great stuff.

This is a real geek's wine - an extremely unusual Gamay from the Rhone valley and about as "bio" as a natural wine can get. Good stuff though. It had a strikingly attractive nose, with lots of sweet violet aromas floating around dark cherries and blackberries with some Gamay-ish herb and bramble at the side. The palate was rather warmer and riper than you would expect from a Beaujolais, rather bigger and fleshier as well, but this was still noticeably a Gamay, with a fresh, energetic feel to its deep, almost Syrah-like flavours of blackberries and drak cherries spiked with a touch of cherry cola. There was a bittersweet bramble note at the back and a bit more floral perfume emerging at points. A simple, uncomplicated wine, but very delicious. This was a great bottle to accompany a simple Saturday lunch of Hainanese chicken rice and some braised duck.

Green peppers and leafy with galangal spice. White ground pepper with pig stomach. Pig stomach soup. Unoaked and green. Grassy and beetles. An organic leafy healthy wine.

The first thing I noticed about this was the almost-carbonated tingle on my tongue, and after capping it for a few days there was a distinct hiss when I opened it again. Once I got past that surprise, though, I found it enjoyable and fun. It has held up well over 4 days stored in the refrigerator and is still effortlessly bright. Not a wine for deep pondering, but it's so genuine that I still enjoy spending time with it.

Medium to full bodied red on pour. Lovely and intense nose jumps out of glass. Nose is amazing, bright, fresh, fruity, with all sorts of nuances. Palate almost matches the nose, fresh, vibrant, fruity, tho a little simpler, but very easy to drink. This is a fun wine and was a good buy.

Lovely Gamay aromas unencumbered by spoof with unmistakeable tea leaf-like characteristics. Flavor profile reminded me immediately of Clos du Tue-Boeuf's la Butte, only bigger and plusher. Lots of fruit; not complex (simpler than the nose might suggest); very easy to drink. Delicious.

Medium ruby. Medicinal black cherry, deeply pitched. Definitely bigger and fuller than the 2010 Beaujolais I've had so far. Can't say I've ever had a northern Rhone Gamay before! Good.

Intense Northern Rhone-esque aromatics, heavy on the flowers with a bit of meatiness. Juicy and satisfying. The only drawback is that it fell a bit flat after a short time in glass. I'm not expecting the robustness of syrah, but more durability would have been nice. Still good.

Lovely gamay in the vein of naturals like Lapierre et al. Equally enjoyable and fresh but perhaps even more juicy-fruity. We could easily drink stuff like this all the time, but availability is scarce and every bottle deserves to be special, so better be somewhat restrictive.

Open fire Blind Tasting (Our place): Lovely nose. Floral with some cassis and blackberry. A touch of vegetable. Beautiful texture, a little more red fruit on the palate (strawberry). Very fresh. Reminds me of a light syrah. Funny as with Souhaut, his Gamay always reminds me of a syrah and his syrah reminds me of a gamay !

Funny how it has somehow similarities with northern Rhone Syrahs. It has some Gamay acidity though, but would be fun blind. Nice gouleyant wine.
