Sorry ... not to my liking. I like my dessert wines sweeter and with a little more acidity. It just tasted ... slightly off ... earthy ... funky. Not my kind of late harvest wine.

Although this went perfectly (more so than the '09 Ch. Doisy Vedrines) with the Manchego cheese cakes the wife conjured up for dessert, I am still puzzled by the quirky funk in this wine's palate profile. It's an unidentifiably earthy-herbaciuousness - nearing gaminess...which is what complimented the savory component of the dessert. Although it can be argued to have its place, I don't enjoy it enough to recommend it.

Unique among American dessert wines, this is not pure sweetness. This is a good thing. Has some bitterness to match the sweet. Gets sweeter towards the back with a pleasant finish. Notes of caramel, burnt oak, lemon zest.

- Light gold color - Apricots on the nose. Lychee and creme brulee on the tongue. Not overly-sweet. Bright acidity. Very nice and drinkable. Great value at the price point.

Siduri & Novy Tasting (Santa Rosa, CA): A great way to finish off the tasting. Smells like apricot, honeysuckle, sweet caramel and candle wax. On the palate, chunky pineapple and mango topped with honey and caramel. Delicious stuff, but I'd prefer a bit more acid.

Excellent dessert wine with notes of guava, honey and apricot. Sweet but not overly so. Some acidity that is very well balanced with sweetness and fruit. Great value for the quality of this wine.

Tasted at the winery. Aromas of slate, honey and apricot- shown with focused baking spice and gingerbread depth on the palate. Nicely balanced and intense. Full finish.

11% alcohol. 375 ml, $18 @ costco. picked up a few on a whim to take to a party, and i've gotta say, it's pretty good. not super high brix, but light on it's feet and superbly balanced. i was surprised that it wasn't under screw cap. recommended.

A deep golden hue upon opening this bottle. A nice taste of honey, apricots, peaches, and pineapple fruit on the palate with a nice prolonged finish. Sweet deep and rich finish. Definitely on the sweeter side of dessert wines I have tasted. The taste on review is quite good. Very nice dessert wine to just sip on its own and a quality wine in its class if you like that type of taste in wine like I do. A great QPR in this class.

Floral and slightly oily, as one might expect from a viognier. Moderately sweet and well balanced. Nice value.

Pleasant, but simple. Sweet tropical fruits, not a great deal of acidity.
