No mistaking the maturity of this one, but saved by a generous helping of sweet, ripe fruit on the palate mingling with the slightly funky aromatics. Holding on and giving pleasure, but on the basis of this bottle, definitely nearing the end of its drinking window. Cork was excellent, not at all saturated.

A bit of funk on the nose that eases up with an hour or more of air. Then very linear with a dominant theme of cherry / Kirsch. Great acidic backbone, soft tannins. Drinking really nicely now and doesn't seem like it'll stop in the next several years.

Best with an hour of air. The funk blows off to reveal a fresh and youthful wine. Seems to have a formidable acidic spine that will give this wine another 10 years of quality drinking.

Ib Bergkjær in may (Frederiksberg): Lighter more, elegant, highly concentrated, kirsch, some sweetness – and hints of alcohol. IB (upon leaving) guessed this dead on – very impressive, indeed. The wine too, impresses, and seems to be mature. No hurry, though.

Dark garnet. Massive powerful blackcurrant bouquet. Super structured black fruits, tobacco and chocolate tart. Long finish. Drinking well after decanting for over three hours.

Nose was pretty farmy, with mint, a little smoke, sweet fruit, earthy and minerals. The combination with char siu made the smokiness much more prominent. Medium acidity. Not bad to drink now.

Purple brickish color, ready to drink but didn't fade. Serious dark fruits. Tastes noble.
