Pnp drank over 3 hours. Opened tight but with a vivid floral violet and lilac finish. Very smooth and elegant. Over time it got more rich and chocolaty. An impressive wine

Popped and poured. Robust and floral nose showing boysenberry, blackberry, anise and grilled meat. Medium weight silky palate, just a lovely texture deep and mouth filling on the border of being too rich. Complex, energetic flavors, still quite youthful but starting to show secondary characteristics. Great complement to grilled meat, and much less ponderous than an Alban.

Pop and pour, gave it 15 minutes in glass to air out. This wine is right in my wheelhouse. Meaty, dense, soft with layers of red fruit. Some dark berries and a touch of anise. This wine is friendly in a complex aged way.

Had twice in 2014 and liked it then (90 score), rich and complex. Today it was much improved/evolved. Smoother and more complex. Very plush with dark fruit flavors. Nice aromatic nose on opening. Agree with DUTRADAN on the timeline for this. Gave it 2+ hours of air and it continued to unwind throughout the evening. Cab, not Syrah, glass seemed to better suit the wine.

Still great 10 yrs later. plenty of backbone left. Fruit is still there but time to drink i my estimation. It will last another 5 for sure or even longer depending on how you like your syrahs

Very impressive wine from this consistently wonderful winery. Known more for their Pinots, their Syrah continues to impress. Dark, rounded notes of dark berries, licorice, and tar. Rich nose like you are running through a blackberry field. Medium to long finish. Wonderful wine had at a BBQ dinner party.

Little has changed since last sampling this wine 2/24/2017. It remains a youthful deep ruby in color and packed with blackerries, boysenberries, earth-laced plums, grilled meat and minerals. Fresh, full-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (14.9%) and with medium sweet tannins, it is layered and dense on the mid-palate and closes with a lengthy, structured finish. Well-cellared bottles of this gem will hold up for many more years. Drink now-2027.

Deep ruby, fresh and packed with black fruit, this Syrah is in its infancy. Smoky black cherry, earth-laced plum, grilled meat and minerals are framed with fresh acidity, medium sweet tannins and seamless alcohol (14.9%). Layered and dense in the middle, it closes with a lengthy, structured finish. As is the case with most Dehlinger Syrah offerings, this is one that will hold up for many years. Enjoy it now or any time over the next decade. Drink now-2027.
Quite expressive aromatically; with wild berry, spice, and pepper the dominant aromas and flavors. The finish was moderately long with some complexity, although I expect that to improve over time.
91-92, with room to improve.

Had with Pork Tenderloin and a nice chocolate dessert. This wine is still too young to drink; however, it had some nice legs to it. Nice fruit, slightly lead pencil to it and opened up over an hour and a half. I won't drink another bottle of this for another 3+ years. Hold it if you got it.

Another casualty of receiving several shipments at once. Garnet at the rim to a black core. Nose revealing red fruit, slight heat. This wine unfolded quite well over 3 hours, at first tight and a bit medicinal then later savory elements and tiny red berry fruit. Needs time for all the elements to harmonize. Not as long a finish as a Bedrock Kick Ranch alongside it, but more potential for mid-term aging. Can't wait to try another one in about 12-18 months. 14.9%

Paired with BBQ chicken. In a really good place and can likely improve. Drink through 2025.

In good shape. Dark fruit. A little bit of anise. Smooth from the attack to the midpalate to the finish. No flaws. Still has years to go.
