Is fruity, dry, nice fine bubbles. Good with eggs Benedict this morning, and the rest of it with ricotta torteillini over fresh spinach, dressed with pesto and garlic olive oil. Not the best sparkling wine that we have had , but it was enjoyable with both meals.

Pale salmon and gold in color, nice bubbles with yeast & dried fruit tones. Wine showed a very creamy mouthfeel and pleasant enough finish. Fine for the $17 US paid.

BOISSET COLLECTION-JCB TASTING (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Served warm, showed nice fruit, nice nose, nice taste, waited 15 minutes and new pour was much colder and better, OTOH it is light/medium body, tasty, simple, thirst quencher, retail is $28.

Delightful. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this large format (6L) bottle due to its age (purchased several years ago and properly cellared), but it exhibited good balance, well rounded yeast notes, alongside apple, tropical fruit and musk. Everyone in the 30 person group who sampled it enjoyed it.

Very nice for the $19 I paid. Straightforward, with a pleasant mushroom note for a touch of complexity on the palate. Drank first third of bottle on Day 1. Shoved cork back in bottle and refrigerated until Day 2; still lots of bubbles on Day 2. Would buy again.

While well-made and not too sweet, it had large bubbles that dissipated quickly, indicating a short time on the yeast. Nowhere near the wonderful crémants from Domaine Parigot.

This probably suffered from being served after a few bottles of Champagne and the dosage seemed a bit high and a tiny bit cloying. It is probably a better wine than that, but the comparison was a little jarring. Made in a crowd pleasing style and really solid for the price.

Yeasty, flinty nose. Green apple and citrus notes are crisp, fresh, and lifted. Nice weight and buoyancy, and a creamy texture that complements a racy bead. Good value.

Wine & Whiskers 2016, nose of delicate lemon, red apple, and citrus, touch floral nose, same on the palate, light/medium body, hints of sweetness, crisp, refreshing on a 90 degree afternoon, touch simple, mouth filling, long finish, typical Cremant, tasted 3 times today, similar results.

Awesome sparkling wine for only $28. Don't bother spending 3-4 times more for an equivalent Champagne, this close neighbor, Crémant de Bourgogne by JCP, does the trick and the price is truly unbelievable.
Lifted aromas of dried fruits, nuts and marzipan. Some perception of sweetness but the wine is still dry. Delicate, yet generous. Firm acidity and medium plus length. Can easily pass for a champagne, but only give away would be the lower occurrence of bread and toasty notes.

Yellow color with moderate effervescence. Bouquet and flavor that was generically fruity and insipid. Not a wine to savor. Made me wish for a glass of Champagne!

Very tasty. Great aroma. Pleasant apricot taste. Would certainly purchase again. The wine looks blonde colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like apricot. The body is light/medium. The wine finishes medium.

Straw with a green tinge. Tiny bead and fine citrusy mousse. Crisp and bone dry, with green apple, quince, lemon, and mineral character. The finish turns creamy.

This drinks like an entry level NV champagne. It’s dry, crisp yet has enough complexity to be interesting.
It’s retail cost near me is under 25 bucks - and yes it drinks like a 50 dollar champagne.
Notes: crisp green apple, lemon and citrus zest, followed by a very balanced finish of toasted brioche
