Earthier, riper style but still light-bodied (13%). Didn't get many typical berries or primary fruit, mostly plum, dried dark cherry, mushroom/tobacco-y. Light tannin on opening disappeared. Slightly more complex than Beaujolais-Villages, but less fresh. Improved with food, more fruit came out.

PnP, only had a glass...quick impression was "Burgundy lite". Red fruit, nice acidity. short finish and nothing noteworthy. Not a bad summer red. Mrs Coupe on the other hand absolutely hated it.

Blind at Auggies: Cranberry, strawberry, blackcherry/berries; rosemary, tarragon, eucalyptus, ferns, bark; sour plum, clay, stony minerals with some sweet (strawberry) fruit underneath; medium acidity, dusty baked earth tannins, good grip, medium + finish. Guessed young fruity Rioja because of a slight stewed note and the strawberry/dusty earth and muted color. Seemed clear to be Beaujolais afterwards, but this seems to be a bit prematurely aging and not completely "classic". Good though.

Even with a bit of a head cold this still showed strongly of dark cherry on the nose and palate. Deep color, medium soft tannins and a medium length finish. Much better after 4-5 hours of slow-ox. Not our preferred style but a pleasant wine, especially under $8.

Excellent Beaujolais, better than the 2009. Dark red color, great Beaujolais nose, cherry and ripe red fruit flavors. Tannins are fairly strong. The finish is pleasant, with a medium length.

Classic grapey-blackberry gum nose; very clean, slight tobacco on the palate; good acidity, almost a Burgundy character to it with good extract; classic Morgon--in the pocket. Should age well for 5 years.89+

Was a bit tight upon opening, gave it an hour. Dust and dark fruit on the nose. Black cherry, dark fruit and a bit of tannins, this could easily age for 1-2 years and achieve a bit more balance. Medium acidity, great length, think that the finish would be killer after a couple years or more time opening up.

Medium purple color. Pleasant, light bodied. Definite pop-and-pour. Served lightly chilled on a rather warm day. Delicious with food, but drink it quickly; it gets flabby after a couple hours open. Enjoyable, but nothing remarkable.

Needs time to open... and was better on day 2... though overall, concentrated black cherry and blackberry juice, infused with a TON of chalky, granite mineral and a hint of florals... chalky, mineral tannins and palate, with a soft, yet juicy acidity... simple, yet nothing to complain about... needs time.

Dark violet appearance. Nose reminded me of opening a very old box in storage – musty and dust. Very shy hints of concentrated raspberry/blackberries. Heavy bodied for a Beaujolais (I think Morgons are supposed to be from what I've read) with medium tannins. On it's own - woody notes dominated on the palate with some fruit and cola. Short finish with refreshing acidity.
WIth food (roast pork leftovers) – brings out the dark fruit notes from the nose and adds a lovely roundness to the experience.
Definitely a food wine.

Sparse nose of red fruit and mineral water. Good fruit at the onset and good length, but no complexity to the rather generic flavor. Stone, raspberry, thyme. Drank too young perhaps.

Very fruity and relaxed with uninspiring tannins and a flat short finish. No off flavors, just boring.

nothing special here, just a light daily drinker. Can do much better with domestic reds from Washington.

Nothing very interesting here. Lots of berries up front, but then rather thin in the middle and a short aftertaste.

Quite nice, would def. buy again at this price, with nice minerality and a touch of garrigue.

One year later; deeper, more body, more intense, lots of black fruit, firm structure, brisk acidity. This has really developed into something nice!

Dark in the glass. Gentle fruit on the nose. A little light on the palate with delicate spice. Very enjoyable.
