Drinking a point, top notch Riesling. Colour is bright. Dry, precise, layered with citrus op front, minerals, and no signs of oxidation whatsoever. #X-mas prep

From magnum...this is on point. Comes across rather dry and has a beautiful note of caramelization but none of the excessive oxidation that was present in some of my 375s of the same wine. What an absolute stunner of a wine when this is showing well!

Not the style of Riesling I enjoy the most. Overshadowed by the 08 Clos St Hune and 08 Trimback Cuvee Frederick Emile last night. Not as precise and sharp as the other two. It was also sweeter.

This bottle was severely oxidized, unfortunately. From a 375 which may have something to do with it although recent splits of the same wine have been delicious.

From a 375...this is damn near perfect. Great acidity, a little residual sugar which is well hidden, and the early signs of oxidation which add rather than detract from the wine. Stunning, but I would drink up as Weinbachs can fall off precipitously once they start to oxidize.

From a 375...this wine is fantastic. Dry, rich, light caramelization with high acidity and perfect balance...this is like an older Raveneau and damned near perfect to my taste.

What an excellent Asaltian Riesling. Faint hint of petrol on the nose with vibrant grapefruit, lime, and white flower hints. Splendid acidity but nice back end richness. Full mouthfeel with an enticing spiciness on the palate. Surprising hints of clove and cinnamon. Excellent QPR. Will purchase additional bottles.

Half bottle after another oxidized half bottle. Medium yellow. Faint petrol, strong black tea. Medium weight, very dry, stone fruit pit, citrus, and again, tea. Lean mineral finish. More taut than the usual style here.

An Introduction to Alsace, with Catherine Owen (Berry Bros & Rudd, London): Proper wine and hats off to Madame Faller! From a difficult year like 2010, with very low yields. Grand Cru vineyard here shows its quality. Pale gold colour. More honey notes with every the lightest touch of that petrolly side of Riesling. Lime, grapefruit notes. Full on the palate, dry, good acidity but also with a lovely rich full side. Amazing length here and for us this was the WOTN and for sure we would look for more weinbach wines. Still very young and will only improve from here but a solid 93 now.

Lovely nose of rose petals, spice and a touch of petrol. Rich yet tart grapefruit flavors with floral and spice hints. The long finish reveals minerals.

I love this wine. I only have one more bottle, I wish I had another dozen. The mix of fruit and dryness is unique. I cannot describe it, but it tastes Alsatian. There is considerable complexity to this wine -- the flavor profile changes from cold to warm. It is a great wine to sip slowly and savor the changes as it warms in your hand

This is a lush, fruity but dry wine. It seems to typifiy the style of the Alsatian Riesling. The color was golden yellow -- deep not pale. The flavor lingering on the tongue. The wine went particularly well with a tasting menu that was mostly fish but included many Asian touches, some spice and curry.

Popped and poured. Holding up nicely but full mature. Bone dry. White peach, a little toast, minerals. Rounded with age. Very good. Drink up.

Bottle too oxidised, all dry gasoline on the nose. Could be bad luck, could be generally over the hill. Drink up fast if so.

found this to be fabulous, white peach, apple and a touch of citrus - had plenty of minerality to balance on the finish.

Magnificent wine. Elegant, pure, with loads of complexity. Needs 45 min of decanting to show its stuffing.

From 375.
Really nice stuff.
Rich, just off dry, barely a hint of petrol; more ripe grapefruit and lime. No expiration date on this

Straw yellow, lustrous.
Deep, intense, mineral and zesty fragrance, rich and honeyed.
Pulpy, deeply flavoured, orange rind, lemon-lime zest, creamy, rich and very long. A firm crisp finish. Youthful, intense, clean. Superb.

Deep yellow. Initially muted nose with a ripe floral element along with lemon and stone. Then classic dry Riesling. Delicious but young.
