Mid to full garnet and starting to show some signs of age both in the hue and in the sediment dropping out. Dusty strawberries and a sense of developing sous bois. Bright and pretty, a little more savoury than in its youth. Sadly my last one. ***

A touch of sous bois starting to develop alongside the vibrant deep strawberry fruit. Light and nuanced, there’s lots here for the level. This has really opened up compared to a bottle in 2014 and is absolutely singing now. ***

PnP then drunk over two dinners, no TN. This was gorgeous. Intoxicating nose, with fruit and spices. Lively and tasty, still with fruit, spices again and an underlying saltiness. A great joy to drink and absolutely no hurry, this can go on several more years.

Nice nose with herbs and forest floor. Taste: a bit cherry-fruit with mature notes, but rather dominated by acidity. Didn’t match hare with liver-sauce, at the second night better with spaghetti with mushrooms, parsley and parmigiano. This wine seems over its top already. Drink up. Not as good as Clarks excellent passetoutgrains of 2010. Second night: 87(-88).

Dried herbs and cool fruit on the nose, almost sweet and sour blue fruit, the smooth rich mellowness matches perfectly with acid and oak , giving great length and interest - not the depth for long term but still certainly has a year or two upside

On the nose slightly gamey, red fruits (raspberry and strawberry). On the palate soft finely grained medium tannins. Good refreshing acidity. Red fruits (raspberry and strawberry) very pure. Lovely wine and for a generic bourgogne outstanding.

Very cool blue fruits, quite fleshy with definite spice hints - nice length and quite angular tannins - good and should continue to integrate further over the next couple of years

Cassis nose, a bit earthy, some smoke. Taste very pure red fruit, medium bodied, mid palate and finish less fruity but filled with nice mineral and gamey tones. Excellent Burgundy, just kept on drinking this. I really like David's style, thankfully I still have some 2010 and have ordered 2011. I have just heard that David is going to stop with his wine making, which is a pity!

Another Saturday at Weygandt (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): On the nose, seriously, I get a really distinct note of chicken boullion cubes, like the spicy chicken flavored ramen noodle packets. Underneath, nice black and red plums. Tight on the palate, with firm tannins and nearly-austere acid, but it's working for me. Snappy red fruit, earth and paprika last long onto the finish. I'd like to taste this again in a year, after a good decant. Begs for savory meat dishes.

David Clark @ 28-50 (28-50, Marylebone, London): Similar to the PTG but with a little more structure and density. Very drinkable. Indeed, lovely. ***

Drunk over dinner in good company, no formal notes. Very fine Bourgogne. Delicious.
