Paulee wedding lunch at Nicolas. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of red flowers, peonies, red cherries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, plump red strawberries, sweet spices, a vein of minerality. Grippy structured long finish. Very good quality. Flush with the beauty of youth. Nice red fruits.

Bright ruby red, fresh small berries, rasp-strawberry, spices, cloves, perfumy, cherry skin and cola with violets, tree branches, juicy tangy acidity, fine tannins. Really nice, fresh, fruity, young. Heritage Wine Blind Wine #5 at the Tasting Finals at Jean-George Las Vegas

What a wine! Lovely fruit, animalistic. Somewhere in between maturity and youth. Can probably stay in the cellar for many more years but I like it this way. For me it’s perfect

DBYOB (stockholm): Very elegant and intoxicating pinot nose, soft attack on the palate but all is very well balanced. Opened up some during the course of the flight, somewhat short finish but overall just very nice.

DBYOB (Don't Bring Your Own Bottle) (Stockholm, Sweden): Beautiful pinot nose, still very compact but shows great potentials. No rough edges, all is smooth and in balance. Some hints of damp vegetation passed like a summer breeze. Long finish. Keep for another 4-5 years. It was not hard finding the Frenchman in this flight.

Wild, tight, compact dark berry nose, with tantalizing notes of dark chocolate and black pepper. Quite oaky, but the wine can bear it. There's a depth here. Lovely fullish body in the "forest" school of burgundy reds. Masculine some would say. A very long nice grip and finish. Almost a little "hot" on the palate. Damp earth, ink, pepper, dark chocolate and at the same time subtle Pinotish spicyness. There's red berries hidden in the dark berries. A very rich wine. Powerful. Makes sense that this is a "Moreyish" Chambolle.

Domaine Groffier Cellar Visit and Tasting (Morey St.-Denis): Tasting at Domaine. Open 6-7 hours before tasting. Red and black cherry aromas with thyme and tarragon. Black cherry flavors to start, then some red cherry coming through from middle to finish. Long, powerful and chewy, slightly less textured and nuanced than the C-M Amoureuses just tasted. Masculine structure, particularly tannins. Some black pepper and licorice emerge on finish. A very good wine that will reward lots of time in the cellar.

I got the impression that this wine is beginning to open up. With impecable balance, great length, strawberries and lots of potential. Quite lush.
