This has plenty of life left. Medium-bodied, medium alcohol, buttery flavor with a bitter undertone, and a discreet amount of lemony acidity: it is a bit disjointed, but that is a minor complaint about a wine that offers a lot of pleasure for its pedigree.

On opening, this was mostly flinty citrus, but by the time of the second course (pan-seared grouper) this had really opened up. While retaining its flinty, mineral citrus, it now had apple, pear and peach as well as a touch of floral and vanilla. Nancy (a super-taster) asked if it was the same wine we had with the Caprese salad. Village level at a (high) Bourgogne Blanc price, but pleasure like this at this price is a bargain, still.

At first, directly after opening, I was a bit dissapointed. Rather basic taste, citric, bit lean, short finish, not very special. However, retasting 48 hours later (kept it in the fridge under Vacuvin) showed remarkable development into a really lovely concentrated wine with secundary, nutty, spicy and mineral tones and thrilling finish. Conclusion: this needs some rest to really show itself.

Every bit as good as bottle in 2014. Maybe slightly more golden in color, but still with fresh fruits and bright, flinty mineral.

Excellent, toasty, earthy nose with those plus citrus on the palate. Delicious, bright wine with obvious Burgundian character.

Really good Bourgogne blanc. This is still young, but great fruit, depth, minerality and acidity

Closed nose; rich palate but slightly oxidised sadly.
