Continues its march towards Puligny elegance. Still rich and weighty, viscous in the glass, but far more floral and elegant now. Minerality and line starting to emerge. Lots of nuance across the mid palate. Excellent. ****

A clear mature wine today compared to when I had the last bottle two years ago which is giving something extra to the wine - the fruit is still apple, pear and citrus - medium acidity well balanced - you also get walnuts and also butter - you get les honey this time - where happy with the wine that is close to its peak - we hare happy to increase the rating to 93.

Pale to mid straw. Quite rich, as previously a little more Chassagne than Puligny, but this is tightening and has lost its slightly blowsy character and is starting to focus up. Nicely mineral, opens to a floral and orange blossom mid palate before a nicely minerally and fairly chewy finish. ****

Mid straw. Not sure about this, it’s just a bit fat and blowsy. A touch too much heat, full framed, and lacking line and elegance. There’s a richness, but... anyway, all that said, it’s perfectly decent but just not really to my taste. ***1/2 but will see how it fares with some air... I think the thing is, it’s ripe and there’s also quite a bit of spicy oak which combined with a slightly custard apple character makes it quite rich and full on. It’s a good wine, just not quite my think, so add a point or two if you will.

A day in Noizé (Noizé restaurant, London): Opened 135 mins before drinking. Fuler colour than Jacques's Perrieres alongside, mid to full straw. Slightly richer and more buttery on the nose, this is a weightier and broader style of Puligny. Goiod mid palate complexity but not the line of the persistence alongside the Perrieres. Merely very good. ****

Minerality is coming through - apple and pears and some honey. Medium acidity well balanced - solid 91. I think it still will improve but drinking well.

Puligny-Montrachet: Yellow fruits and some not too ripe apples and pears, a tropical note, beginning depth, some toffee (no ox though); quite high acidity, fresh, somewhat complex, decent length, fine finish.

Minerality all the way - the nose - the palette - I think you also get a touch of honey. Clearly some pears. Medium acidity and well balanced - it is still a young wine.

Revisiting this after 2 years. Oak, match stick, peach and mango on the nose. Palate has good volume but it lacks acidity. This bottle shows more ripeness than the previous one. A bit too much oak at this stage.

Rich , deep, and quite oaky. Pear and butterscotch. Fun with the lobster, larger framed but surprisingly not as elegant as a recent bottle of the Champs Gains. B+

Beautifull nose - where you already sense the minerality. On the palate minerality is very clear - the wine is very aromatic - acidity is good balanced - the wine is still young and can develop further - but already very good and showing all the good things from Puligny-Montrachet.

Apple and pear on the nose with high acidity and minerals. The palate was quite crispy with some oak and sulphur. Give it more time. Too young.

La Paulée de San Francisco - The Verticals (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Lots of sweet apple and pear with subtle floral notes and good concentration. Needs a little time to integrate the new oak a little more, but I think this will end up with 91-92 point potential.
