Finally had a chance to drink my final bottle of this vintage for NYE and it was still very impressive. Maybe on the downhill side, but still a great wine. Typical Pinot Noir nose. Mouthfeel very lush, and still a bit of tannins left for structure and a medium finish.

drank for new years eve 2019. Cork shattered on removal, need to use the pronged cork remover for remaining bottles. Decanted for 2 hours. was very smooth, earthy and integrated. Very nice still, but should finish off remaining bottles in 2020

WOTY! Totally taken by surprised. I thought this would feel a bit old but no way. The fruit was still delicious and up front. There was tart berry flavors with a soft tannic backbone. This wine definitely bridges the gap between old and new world. Absolutely lovely!!! From Magnum

Good funk on the nose. Very silky attack with a hint of ripe fruit. Iron fist kicks in carrying the long finish. Medium plus tannin that is well integrated. This tastes much younger than 12.

Drank for Thanksgiving. Drinking well now, but not sure will not improve further. It's fruit has mellowed, as have the acidity and effervescence of its youth. Nice, balanced, but could use I bit more fruit.

A massive wine that required hours to begin to open up. A wine that deserves to be left alone in the cellar for another 5-7 years. Notes of damp earth, mushrooms, and black cherries on the nose with a melange of red & black fruit on the palate.

I'm mixed on this wine, but it did improve with air, showing spice on the nose and a plummy taste. Some holes in the concentration and length, but jig a bad pinot.

Needs to breathe. Very complex flavors. Excellent display of a Pinot! The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), Light toast, and Black Pepper. It tastes like Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), Black Pepper, and Alcohol/Hot.

Spice on the nose, with some licorice after an hour of air. Not a blockbuster, but a nice balanced Pinot with a somewhat short finish. A bit lacking in concntration, but a nicely done wine.

A little more "chewy" than the regular 2004 vintage. Was preferred over the regular Beaux Freres by just about everyone who drank both.

Deep and dark with broading layers that are still wound quite tight...it needs another 4-5 years from right now...maybe longer.
