Time for NFL Sunday Night Game and Champagne, nose of red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, slate, and mums bouquet, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, crisp, refreshing in this heat wave we are having, lovely sweet and sour Pinot Noir, and a medium/long finish. Worth the $32 paid.

Saturated red and the flavor to match. Expressive bold nose displaying concentrated red fruit, strawberry, strawberry candy, a hint of cranberry, smoke, spice spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, concentrated red fruit, abundant fine mousse, good acidity and mineral and a medium to long bold red fruit driven finish. Although showing fine mousse, the overall impression is bold and in your face. It would be fascinating to follow for the next decade as Pinot component starts to gain sous bois.

Served with Wild Sockeye Smoked Salmon, great pairing, nose of red cherry, strawberry, slate, and spring flowers, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, crisp, refreshing, rich Pinot Noir, and a medium/long finish. Nice for $32 auction bottle. Picture uploaded.

Nose of red cherry, strawberry, earth, slate, and lovely spring flowers, on the palate, medium body, fresh, clean and lovely on the palate, tasty, rich tasting rose with a slightly thin mid palate with respect to complexity but not fruit, and really shows well on the medium/long finish and aftertaste, which makes it easy to pour a second glass, very good QPR here for $32.

Medium amount of fine bubbles in the glass formed a nice mousse, nose of red cherry, strawberry, and day old baked cherry pie, same on the palate, medium body, tasty, rich tasting but slightly off putting in mid palate and medium/long finish, still a decent Champagne for $32 as you get what you pay for-good value.

Bright salmon. Light cherry berry nose, savory, ripe red fruit palate, medium finish. Best not too cold, refreshing but substantial red-wine-flavored Champagne. Very much my preferred style.

According to the label, 100% pinot noir, and 100% Grand Cru vineyards. Distinctly tawny orange, and slightly cloudy. Despite this bottle being purchased about 7 years ago, still plenty of bubbles when poured. Rather shy nose, a little bread and underripe plums. The palate is very ripe and a bit oxidized, apricots and plums, leaning more towards yellow than red, and full-bodied. The finish brings back the effervescence, otherwise this drinks like a very mature (but still fresh) savory rose still wine. Idiosyncratic but I like it.

This was the fifth bottle of six and with each subsequent bottle, the cassis element has become more pronounced. I do not mind it, I guess, but it detracts from the refinement and complexity. This bottle had not lost any effervescence as previous bottles had. One to go--better be soon. Very Good. thedrunkencyclist.com

Retail $50. I was worried about the other Soutiran I had and finished it off last week. I thought I should give the rosés a try as well. It looks like I better finish these off in the short term as well–little sparkle and overly rich. I am not quite sure what was going on with this bottle. Not Rated.
This Champers is still bringing it! Amazed still by the color—closer to the color of a light Pinot than a rosé champagne. All that pinot has an effect, resulting in a really full bodied wine. I picked up some raspberry and black currant and on the palate, this seemed like a kir royale without the sweetness. Outstanding.

Don't think I've had a Champagne before that was so red wine-like in its flavour profile; this is packed with cherries and red berried fruit over chalky mineral notes, very pure, elegant and nicely balanced with bright acids and vibrant effervescence beneath.

Very red--not pink. Even more full-bodied than I had expected. This is a huge wine that screams out for food, but was superb as an apéritif as well. Outstanding.

This was nice and had a shining moment in the pairing at a restaurant...but it was nothing like what I recall from the past. It would be interesting to see where this is in the future....

This was quite impressive showing a light ruby red with a fine mousse that exploded with scents of dried cranberries, strawberries, hints of floral notes and a light hint of baking bread on the nose. In the mouth the fruit flavors exploded on the palate bring forth a plethora of dried cranberries, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, with a burst of bing cherries and a light hint of earth in the mid-palate that exposes a hint of pipe tobacco and cedar along a medium long finish.

Fall 2008 David Bowler Wine Event (New York City): Light salmon color. Subtle on the nose with elements of yeast and tart red berries. On the palate, minerality and a touch of good, delicate fruit. 87-89 pts.

The best sparkling rose I’ve had to date. Great rich pink color with a bouquet of cherry, strawberry and floral notes. The body is elegant and dances with cherry, raspberry and a touch of dried herbs with hints of minerals and earth reminding me the whole time why the Champagne region is so special. Very highly recommended, but unfortunately low production (around 350 cases made). foodandwineblog.com

For the price, this is amazingly enjoyable and complex . Full, rich, but not heavy. Good fruit-especially cranberry. Bubbles spazzed for a minute, then became more delicate and lasted, good mouthfeel. Great finish that plays with sweet and tart. Slight chalky, but not in a bad way.

Sams Rose Champagne Tasting. Deep pink, like a Copper River salmon, subdued on the nose, but very full body, rich, long length in which the fruit teases out to leave a rewarding impression.

nice fruit and yeasty flavors... bubbles were a little weak, but the taste didn't suffer...
color was red grapefruit...
fruit builds with time in the glass, but it still holds onto the bread and nut flavors...
