Very open and aromatic at the beginning. Black fruit and violet, with a hint of spice, pepper, and a very light smokiness. On the palate, medium (+) acidity, tannins are well integrated. Mostly savory, not a heavy bold wine, but a medium bodied wine showing the delicacy of Cote Rotie. Really liked it paired with lamb chop and asparagus.

1/6, good cork. Decanted 1 hr. Medium/deep ruby, pale ruby rim. Nose shows blackberry, florals, quietly aromatic with a note of bacon and touch of black pepper. Medium bodied, elegant with fine tannins, blackberries, touch of blood, fresh acidity, quite long finish. Excellent, drinking well.

The sleeper has awakened! This wine was shut down in a “dumb phase” for some time. A bottle I drank three years ago lacked gusto.
Now, there are great aromas of black currant, flowers, barnyard, and bacon. This has soft tannins, medium high acidity, and a mouth coating finish. Patience is rewarded and I am happy to have a few more in the cellar. Drinking great now and should do so for at least another five years.

Robe mauve très dense. Sur des arômes de beurre et petit fruit. Bonne fraiseur pour un Côte-Rôtie. Par contre, pour ce prix, manque de structure et de complexité. A décanter 2h.

Very disappointed in this wine. It is very two dimensional with very little complexity or structure on the palate. Nose is actually decent, deceptively promising with a bit of spice, cinnamon, cloves and dark fruit. But it's completely underwhelming in the mouth with a light body but not much delicacy. Not sure if it's going through a bad period but I cannot recommend drinking this now.

S&E Wine Society - Northern Rhone Style (S&E): Slight pepper in the nose and a hint of metal shavings. This was a pnp after an hour or so of the tasting a hint of pineapple and lots of pepper came to the nose. 83

Decanted for about twenty minutes before enjoying from Bordeaux stems. Presented as ruby-purple with a tiny bit of fine sediment in the last 2 mL. Nose was smoky, savory, rich, and evolved continuously over the course of the meal (steak au poivre and potatoes). After going through some other phases of bacon fat, purple flowers, various spices, etc., it seemed to settle into an assemblage of dark raspberry, smoked meat, woodsmoke, balsamic vinegar, and a touch of floral character. Very nice nose. It matched on the palate, with balanced structure in the form of medium(+) acid and medium(-)-intensity tannins. Medium(+) body that exhibited both power and finesse. The finish was impressively long, even at this young age.
It paired really, really well with the cream sauce that accompanies steak au poivre. Definitely recommended. "Excellent," 92/100.

Bacon fat, cured meat, thyme, lavender, smoke, black currant and black raspberry on the nose. Full-bodied with dense, chalky tannins. This is still quite young with lots of upside potential. Complex and powerful.

graphite, black pepper, spice, slight perfumed note, perhaps touches of apricot. In the mouth the wine has spicy, grippy tannin which dominates fresh, crisply acidic, black berry fruit, black pepper and apricot notes on the long finish. Very young, very nice.

Full, sanguine ruby. Cool northern rhone fruit, a splash of bacon fat. Silky smooth with impeccable balance. Really lovely and very proper. ****

Blackcurrant and floral aromas, blackcurrant flavours with high acidity and tannins, a little out of balance.
