WX+ 'X9 Blind Cabernet Sauvignon Meetup (My House - Hanover Park, IL): Really nice wine here and wasn't even aware of this bottling. Lots of mountain fruit and right up front I love the blueberries, blackberries, some unique smokey elements and lots of purple flowers. The finish is long and this is a winner. Needed some more time open but this is an under the radar recommendation.

Currant, plum, and black cherries but the fruit has softened now a bit leaving a big presence of dried herbs, subtle earth and tobacco notes. Tannins have also tamed over time now, medium finish.

Opened and let it breath for about 2 hours before drinking. Very fragrant nose. Lots of fruit on the mid-palate which transitions into a nice long finish. This wine is still a baby and has lots of age left. Definitely give a few hours before drinking if you open now.

Purple in color, with aromas and flavors of dried fruit, plum, prune, currant, and spice, and black cherry.
Not as tannic as the WS review would make you think, this cab sported relatively smooth tannins yet was full bodied. Slightly drying on the finish. Drinking well now, and should hold for at least 5 years. Me - 92, Wife - 93.

a very solid wine right now, drinking well. good amount of tannins still and unclear that they will ever go away, making the wine somewhat tight, providing a prune-like mouthfeel and taste.

Honeymoon Wine Tasting; 6/25/2012-7/3/2012 (California - Napa & Sonoma Counties): Tasted At Winery. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon - single vineyard on Spring Mountain. The color was light purple/red, with aromas of red currant, dried berries, and oak. This wine is very well balanced with a nice firm yet silky tannic structure. The fruit is evident on the palate, which shows as a slight sweetness. The finish is dry with nice spice and dried fruit, and is long and complex. Drink now or wait for tertiary flavors to develop as the fruit recedes a bit. An outstanding wine.

Solid wine. Great balance between the fruit and oak, well integrated tannins. Still on the younger side but very nice

Fantastic. Tannins definitely present but very approachable. Dark rich berry, plum.
