At a trade tasting with Potensac, Clos Marquis & Leoville las Cases, dark red, powerful nose of black fruits, v sexy, full bodied but good balance, complexity & length, drank alongside the 2018 which I preferred, a lighter more elegant style

Subtle nose of blackberries and plum, savoury Arabic spices and tobacco. An hour is necessary for the aromatics to open up. Inky. Fresh and intense on the full-bodied palate. A touch of bitter tannins towards the end of the mid-palate, followed by a penetrating acidity and lingering finish. Need more time. If the fruit can hold, this will be a classic Pomerol. Drink this with serious decanting or wait for another 3 years to enjoy better balance and harmony. 90-91 pts.

Ex-Chateau 2021 release. Ruby red with violet reflection. 90 points entirely for the generous aromas - flowers, red plums and a hint of cocoa and cream? very delightful. Medium-bodied and plenty of tannins, surprisingly smooth and soft mouthfeel or rather austere, lack of structure and content. Hard to expect to get better with continued ageing.

A blend of 78% Merlot and 22% CF, wine is aged for 18 months in oak, 25% new. Medium+ ruby colour, red hue. Medium+ intensity aroma of leather, earth, blackberries, oaky and dried leaf hints. Medium body, concentrated and fleshy structure filled with earthy black fruit flavours, pleasant bitterness at mid palate, concludes with firm but finely knit tannins wand lengthy finish.

Creamy and buttery bouquet with fruit yoghurt impressions. On the palate creamy as well with red and dark berries, some green impressions, vanilla, round and friendly acidity. Still much too young to show all of its merits. Lush and still slightly sticky tannin. 91 – 92+

Opened late morning, poured to shoulder and slow-ox until dinner. Very nice concentration, dark berries, truffle and copious yet integrated oak. Solid structure on palate, yet tannins are approachable, caressing and supported by an abundance of dark fruit and notes of cacao. No formal notes only r memory. This was a terrific partner to apéro-dinner on the terrace.

Ready to go, the wine is medium-bodied, developed, you find a lot of Cabernet Franc character, displaying its flowers, mint, red, earthy plum, and cocoa, the wine is soft, bright, fresh, and filled with red plums in the finish.
This is the eight bottle of a case tasted over the past 5 years. The wine is still very tight and grudging. There is good fruit on the nose upon initial opening but the delivery to palate is still disappointing. I will taste another bottle in 3 years time, but I am not optimistic.

Fresh, earthy nose with plums and black cherries. Medium bodied but full flavored—plums, black cherry pit, leather and tar. Firm and robust, with decent length and a strong finish. Young and primary for sure, but I find the wine to be expressive and just needs a few years to develop and settle down. 91+

Coravin; clear, deep ruby; clean, pronounced nose of blackberry, raspberry, plum, cassis, nutmeg, almond, coffee, chocolate; dry, medium acid, tannic, medium body, blackberry, black cherry, plum, hazelnut, chocolate, cured meat, long finish; structured and complex, but tannins still hard, it's promising though for a few more years

Quite closed in the moment but nice fruity notes and softening tannins after a few hours at the air. I already enjoyed it but a few more years in the cellar would be great.

MW Institute 2011 Bordeaux Tasting: Blackberry, cherry and dusty notes. Medium body and depth. Some nice fruit purity but in the end it misses a little interest.

With 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc at 13.7% alcohol, the wine will be aged in 25% new oak. Truffle, floral and black raspberry perfume notes with a masculine fresh, ripe black cherry and cocoa finish. This Pomerol requires time for the tannins to soften. 89-91 Pts

Institute of Masters of Wine - 2011 Bdx Tasting (Hyatt, San Francisco): Beautiful. Just moderate in concentration, maybe tending towards moderate-minus. More cab franc? Less extraction?
Floral, rich plum. So open for business.
