Pale red with a watery edge. Reticent on the nose, but some raspberry fruit with some mushroom & forest floor aromas. Raspberry fruit with a refreshing lick of acidity giving a lift. Not very complex but so easy to drink with a decent finish. Really good bourgogne - does what it's meant to do.

Pale/medium ruby/garnet core, wide pale rim. Lovely nose showing good intensity, creamy, pure raspberry fruit, hints of earth and iron. Palate is medium bodied, initial attack of raspberry fruit, in truth on the leanish side and even slightly stretched and hollow on the mid-palate with a short/medium length firm, slightly minerally finish. A good bourgogne with lovely pure fruit, but it is what it is and nothing more.

In a lovely place for a quality bourgogne, some leather and mushroom along with a hint of eucalyptus on the nose, cherry and crushed raspberry flavours with some savoury tones (fennel ?), nice lift and a great long finish for the level of this wine

Ruby/Maroon. Good fresh nose. Soft faint raspberry palate with a little complexity: leather? barn? Fresh well balanced acidity. Acidity seems to be a character of 2002 burgundies which I have tried (eg. Hudelot-Noellat Bourgogne where the acidity was a little excessive IMHO). A very nice wine and good value.

Dark but lucid, bright. Lovely nose; elegantly perfumed with red fruit. Great attack and balance, decent fruit and med length. Palate possibly dissapoints slightly after that nose, but great at this level. Nice grip and will give great refreshment for a few years. VG

Much better than a previous bottle. This bottle seems to have more tannins, depth and aromatics. For a basic bourgogne and at this price - it is fantastic. Shame this wasn't the case with the last bottle though!

Pale/medium ruby core, even some purplish tints, medium pale rim. Light/moderately intense nose, a little reticent, giving dark cherries, plums, spice and a hint of farmyard. Light/medium bodied on the palate with moderate intensity dark cherry fruit, some earthy notes, fine acidity and some slightly rustic tannins on the shortish finish. A decent enough, basic bourgogne but in truth was expecting a little more from this. May come round.

Seductive still ripe red cherries and raspberries with hints of spice and subtle leaves supported by lovely acidity and silky tannins. The finish is gorgeously long. My favourite Bourgogne Rouge to date. (16/20)

Clean bright strawberry juice red in colour. Fresh on the nose, with red fruits, a touch of liquorice, some characteristic PN cardboard (for me, this descriptor is not a negative!), and some suggestions of animal aromas. Nice balance of sweet ripe fruit and elegance. Lively on the palate, clean tasting, suprisingly long sweet and intense finish. This wine must be absolutely at its peak and offers really charming drinking for a basic Bourgogne Rouge.

In a different league from any other bourgogne rouge I've had - mellow, mature burgundy, sappy red fruits - lovely

Bourogne in the Fall (Oslo): Pale and brown. Good intensity, but short and lacking complexity. OK, but nothing more.

VA spoiled the nose and tainted the palate too. Other recent bottles have been very good.
