Consumed 375 bottle. Opened took about 5 minutes to open up. Fruit open, no noticable tannin, 10 second after taste. Color is slightly changing. I suspect it is drink up time.

A bit delicate, and a touch earthy. Not much structure left unless you really aerate with sip - did we wait too long? The fruit is very subtle, making me wish for a bit more of the fruit-forwardness of something like a La Crema. Still enjoyable, but maybe not $28 worth, especially in comparison to less expensive Saintsburys.
Had with steak fajitas, easy on the spice this time.

Garnet red. Barnyard, herb nose. Nice integration of oak, can even detect it in 4th day. Fruit is well harmonized by acid and tannin, very enjoyable, pure and enough complexity even after few days in vacuumed bottle.

The Pinot fan in the group loved it. For the others, it was good, but lacking something. Nose was very nice cherry cola and herbs (hitns of thyme and sage). Flavor continued the same as the nose, with some oakiness kicking in. Finish was smooth, but not enough tannins to make it long enough. Sound Pinot, but not outstanding.

Appears garnet red color in glass, light/med bodied. Nose of red fruit, hint of anise and some funk. Palate follows with cherry, some rhubarb and steminess on the mid palate. Nose is very nice but palate is lacking concentraion.

APFW new world tasting. I thought this was very decent actually. Rather old worldy nose of leather and dry earth with savoury mushroom character and a twist of pepper. Some dark fruit, but that was rather submerged under the other flavours. The palate was rather lean, dark cherries were rather reserved again. In fact, the palate showed rather woody, with firm tannins. I liked the clean, crisp acid. I think this wine may have fallen asleep slightly, and will probably do better with 1. proper food; and 2. at least 3 more years in the bottle.

Starts with a heavy dose of glycerin, then has a thin mid palate, with flavors of black cherry on a short to medium finish. Not a lot of earth or acidity, with a little heat despite fairly low alcohol of 13.5%. Overall, a rather bland, but sound, pinot. Reminds me of a light Cotes du Rhone.

Red fruits on the nose...not a lot of fruit on the palette with overpowering tannin and alcohol. Pretty boring pinot lacking fruit. Definitely better out there for the money.

Once Upon a Vine XIII - New Orleans, LA by Martin Wine Cellar (Pavillion of Two Sisters): Just a decent, if uninspiring California Pinot. Hints of cherry Coke, strawberry, earth, and, oddly, root vegetables. Acidity and somewhat green tannins slightly overwhelm the muddy fruit. Inexpensive and probably quaffable for some, but anyone can find a better quality $24 wine in most places.

Medium dark, ruby/purple. Sweet red fruit nose with earth. Full bodied, dry red cherry fruit, short earthy finish. A decent wine but nothing stands out, short finish

Mild cola strawberry nose for a watered-down wine. The divot in the midpalate was redeemed in part by a more interesting and evenly weighted but disproportionate finish. Went nicely with everything we ordered.

After a Soter Beacon Hill 2003 Pinot last night that light my mouth on fire, this seems timid in comparison. Nice aromas of cola, light red berries (strawberry?) and some floral/forest floor. Let down comes on the palate, where the fruit is languishing - taste isnt offensive, but more like flavored water than a balanced pinot. (disclaimer, i normally enjoy SBury pinots, so this was a letdown)

Decanted about an hour. The nose has lots of strawberry and cherry, along with some forest floor and just a hint of violets. The palate is fairly smooth and also has loads of strawberry and cherry mixed with some mushroom and spice. It finished pretty good, as well. An ok Pinot for the price.

Seemed the least objectionable of all sorts of bad options on Peter Luger's notoriously awful wine list, and surprise surprise, this is actually pretty good. Streamlined berry fruit with no suggestion of overripeness or overconcentration, if not exactly Burgundian it is at least more French than New World in style. The alcohol sticks out a little bit, but aside from that the balance and drinkability are both impressive.

Here was a nice surprise - gamey, sappy pinot nose, full on the palate, quite sweet and pure, not complex, but a very pretty pinot wine

Light berries. Very enjoyable though it was in the car or a 12 hour drive.
Balanced earth with a moderate bodied finish.

Wine Education Service - Pinot Noir (Imperial College): Youthful fruity nose with a bit of complexity.
Reasonable balance, fairly smooth, a bit uninspiring.

Nice color. Aroma, palate and finish are pleasant , but a bit weak. Cherry and floral. Just not a lot of there there.

Shared with Christan weekend of Dennis' funeral. Great nose, nice acidity, but not worth the price point. I've had better Saintsbury Pinots.
