Very nice. It took an hour before the wine really opened. This wine had some tannin and could hold 3 years in the cellar, while earlier tasting of the same case suggested is was at the top and perhaps over the hill. Taste of liquorice and ceder.

Light slightly bricked ruby, nice open nose cranberry, with hint of earth, medium body, well balanced, sour cherry with some acid present. Medium finish, drinking well but likely will not to develop much more, drink up over the next few years.

tasted at busy dinner party so no formal tasting note.
What I can say is that is a delicious very well made example that is now drinking perfectly.
Gorgeous aromas of crushed red fruit( plum), rose petal, tobacco vanilla , pepper , thyme and rosemary. Textbook Sangiovese with high acidity, medium tannin and a long finish.
Perfectly mature at this point, but this will easily keep another decade- why wait though !

Revisit, some 6 months after last review. Cedar and tobacco in the nose. Good complexity. Fully mature, on its peak I think. On the palate blackberries, tobacco and sweet liquorice in the finish. Actually, this is a fine composition, very enjoyable wine. I consider restocking (this was my last bottle). 91-93P

Oak nicely integrated and a deep dark cherry vanilla aroma. Some spice, tobacco, mushrooms and a very long and quite complex after taste. A bit too sweet for my taste. I'll drink most of my remaining bottles sooner rather than later.

Dark brown, mature colour. Dark berries and some cedar in the nose. Pleasant, but not generous. On the palate blackberries and tobacco and liquorice in the finish. Not very much complexity in the beginning, but after some time in the glass it opens more. 88-90P

Day one: Nose is nicely perfumed and pungent. Palate is a bit of a letdown: two dimensional, annoying taste of wood chips, a bit herbal, and a drying finish.
Better on day two. Same powerfully perfumed nose. Palate shows more Sangiovese character and the wood has faded somewhat. Still not an elegant wine - a bit backwoods rustic - but more enjoyable tonight.

Decanted for two hours. Medium to dark colour with a lovely Brunello style aroma of Sangiovese. Delicious smooth taste. Very nice right now but will certainly go longer..

Pronounced nose- red fruits, tobacco , plum. Best word to describe the nose- Sangiovese! In a blind tasting you may not guess the wine, but you would know the varietal right away.
Medium bodied with medium tannins and good acidity. Lots of fruit and spice on the palate. Medium + finish.
I think this will probably improve with up to 5 years more in the cellar, but who knows?
Overall a great balance wine.

1year since last bottle, and pleasently surprised with the development here. Rather thick and foursquare, no see-through wine, it still has good cherry/kirsch-perfume and some elegance. No hurry. (89-92pts.)

Nose of freshly cut strawberry, pecorino cheese, flowers and fresh herbs, balsamico, manure and a glue component in the back.
Beautifull dark transperant red color, palate of strawberrys gooseberry and vegetables, mocha, ketchup, oak nice acidity medium tannins and a little short on the finish.
90+ -91pts. . .
I expected alot more from this but maybe 5+years for this will do it? returned my case of 12 bottles

Kings of Tuscan Wine (Wine World, Seattle, WA): Lots of wood. Overall bigger, riper body--and bigger tannin and acids--than the Poderina. Lengthy finish with angular, disjoint tannins. Definitely powerful, and quite tight at this stage.

Outstanding aromatic expressions which instantly seduce you with notes of morello cherries, violet, amber and spice notes. Beautiful palate entry with dominant acid nicely balanced with focused tannins. Anise and spice box on the finish. A great wine.

Still young, but good with food. Doesnt have the depth I expect in a top Brunello, but still very good.
