Beautiful silky smooth wine. Soft tannins no alcohol taste it all. Love the old world flavors of this wine. Still drinking great and we'll hold for a few more years.

Poured into a decanter and consumed over 3 hours with grilled lamb chops & yorkshire. Surprisingly approachable right out of the gate. Softer than I expected but quite delicious. I am not sure I see this getting any better

More elegant and restrained than expected. Ripe black/blue fruit, vanilla, light oak, tobacco, eucalyptus, and cassis. No sharp edges but definately the tannins to Go further. Decanted for only 1 hour.

Huge and tannic animal. A very well built wine with all the ingredients for greatness that should grow out of it's gangly paws and into a lovely well integrated beast. Good fruit, nice acid. Nice secondary flavors of vanilla and brown sugar. Don't drink for 3-5 years I would estimate.

An excellent wine, needs some time in the bottle to develop its full potential, but wasn't drinking badly. Big big tannins, dark fruit, well integrated throughout though.

This was a very good wine but needs some more time in the cellar. Big fruit forward nose. Lots of etoh on the nose. Touch of vanilla, chocolate, rose pedal. Tannins where big and bold. Need to mellow some. Finish ok. I'm glad I've got more. Will def wait to try again. Should be worth the wait.

Tasted at Checkerboard. Goal with Kings Row is to make a more approachable wine when released yet very true to the vineyards expression. This is a truly amazing property that does everything first class. We met winemaker Martha McCellan and co-owner Dennis O'Leary who are very hands on and clearly demanding in every sense. They are out to make the best wine possible from this site with quality at any expense being the driving force. This wine shows aromas of dark chocolate and rich plummy blackberry fruit. Dark sweet good acidity are immediatley clear on first sip, Lovely dark flavors with nice zip. Elegant style that shows deep blackberry fruits and refined structure with sleek finish. 94

A nose rather like young Bordeaux with a smoky, savory quality joined by cassis and earth. Pure fruit and velvety tannins with flavors of sweet black currant, charcoal, graphite and earth. Rich and dry. Big tannins and very dry finish. It's nice, but I am not sure I'd pay $100 for it.

Delicious, and very well put together. Needs hours in the decanter right now, but needs to rest in the cellar for another 3+ years.

Hyper-decanted. Gorgeous wine. Structured but so soft and floral. Epic pairing with braised short rib
