Beautiful matured burgundy. Still fresh for a 41 year old. Lovely delicate but subtle nose of flowers and sois bois. Well resolved tannins. I doubt this will improve from here but certainly should be drunk in the next few years. Looking forward to my final bottle.

So this was a nice bottle, a little on the downside for me, but everyone loved it for its lightness. I think it won the red of the evening, against a brutal 96 chapelle, we had it with fillet and mushroom sauce, and for a very short time it transported me back 40 years. Forest floor and cherry in a elegant way, persistency and harmonious not dominant. Fun to try, the colour was fading copper so you knew it was on its last legs.

Very unique brown red color with a lovely nose of dried red fruits and forest floor. Subtle on the palate with a surprising and beautiful sweetness followed by mushrooms and mineral. Absolutely singing today but most certainly at peak.

This wine was singing its heart out tonight Beautiful sweet red fruit and soft forest floor nose. Enveloping scents. Ripe red fruit overlaying mushroomy sous bois palate. Structured with good levels of acidity that leave the mouth watering. Finishes long with ripe red fruit reappearing.

Extremely soft, moldy, and soaked through cork. Clearly not reconditioned. A little less sweet than my last bottle but still ripe, soft, and mature. A beautiful bottle of aged burgundy.

The cork was moldy, soft, and quite soaked - not reconditioned. The wine was soft, satiny, and elegant. It featured red fruit, earth, and forest floor. My only question was a distinct sweetness that made we wonder if this is what old-school chaptalization tastes like.

Very nice fully mature red burgundy. Very Nuits in style a chewy earthy finish. This wine is probably at it's peak and will not improve further. I feel this will hold for years more as it still has good structure and has not fallen apart. The nose is nice (floral and underbrush) and improved with more air time. Decant this wine for 20-30 minutes first as it opens up with a bit of air. A solid 91 point wine that accurately represents it's point of origin.

An exceptional bottle with some air had a nose of strawberry kirsch. Just a delight right now with silky and elegant textures. Drinking sublime.

No formal note; a very beautiful 37 yr old Georges Noellat red that illustrated how beautiful an old Burgundy red could be; overall, 94-95 points.
