Still a good drink, but reminds me that Meursault is a village where you have a good shot at sorting out terroir. Don't know where this vineyard is in Meursault, but it reminds me more of a Puligny than a Meursault - plenty of a minerality overlay for starters coupled with a certain austerity I find in Puligny.

Second Sunday Group: 2005 CdP Traditional Cuvees vs. Tete de Cuvees (Neil's): Two bottles from the same case were opened, one of which was obviously darker in color. The darker wine was not bad, but it was definitely "flat" compared to the lighter one, for which this note was written. Aromas of lemon blossom, minerals, apple and florals. The palate follows the bouquet, with a lengthy finish tinged by citrus and mineral qualities. 92+ pts.

2008 Meursault Blind Tasting (My Home): Some lime and nutty notes on the nose. Exotic fruit (pineapple) with maybe a touch of orange as well. Sulfur. Slightly bitter and severe finish. While I thought the nose was enjoyable, the palate is somehow boring.

Good wine, but not necessarily good Meursault. Typicity is lacking and there is also a bit of tutti frutti in there.
