It was a little too buttery at first but after 30 minutes the butter flavor faded and a good amount of acid came to the forefront. Interesting Chardonnay.

Opened and finished the bottle. Drank with chicken dish. This is probably my favorite of the 2011's that I've tasted in the last year. Smooth, perfect subtle vanilla, but mainly pineapple lemon and mineral laden tropical fruit. Beautiful finish.

Pretty yellow. Creamy and smooth, butterscotch, vanilla, butter, and finishes with apricot, lemon, ripe apple and a mouth coating finish. Mature California Chard that’s drinking marvelously well at this juncture.

Excellent at usual! Our last bottle of the 2011 Chloe. Drank at a dinner party and the ladies were all subtly hoarding for themselves. The Chloe still has time if you want to hold longer.
Luis Tilia WTDS plus Happy Birthday to Gary and Me (Tilia): Pop and pour, shared the bottle with 7 others. This smells like sweet tropical fruit, vanilla and a bit of spicy oak. This is golden and Californian in a good way. This is definitely fruity but I'm not sure I would call it full-bodied. There is some balance, but a 2011 Leeuwin art series chard had more elegance tonight, although I preferred this one. YMMV.

Very well balanced with terrific flavors of tropical fruits and white fruits with a citrus bit. Very pure. Very nice nose and after taste. Very deft in the mouth-feel department.

Very similar to the Dehlinger I had recently. Lots of oak and buttery notes that mute the fruit somewhat. But after a bit, especially when it reaches room temperature, some of the pear, apple, apricot, mineral and floral notes shine through. Nice body and finish. Drinks easy, even if not my preferred style.

Outstanding Chardonnay with an amazing blend of apricot, lemon and pear, notes. Nice but not overwhelming hints of light butter and a finish that lingers in your mouth for almost a minute. Beautifully balanced.

More Montrachet than Mersault, this had great minerality and some underlying creaminess to the lemon, and vanilla notes in the body and nose, pretty well integrated and great finish.

Pop and pour. In the glass, pale gold. On the nose, notes of oak, smoke, and citrus. On the palate, an appealing soft texture, but hints of pear are overtaken by the oak, a lean mineral backbone, and noticeable acidity. This is a leaner wine than we've come to expect from DuMOL, although still reasonably well balanced for the style.

Popped and poured on Super Bowl Sunday. Some light lemon and vanilla on the nose, very soft mouthfeel and very light kiss of butter. This had a long lingering finish of >10 seconds. I would place this as a "middleweight" chard - not too lean, but not overly done, i.e. oaky. If you like Kistler (which we do), you'll like this. Ones of the better chards I've had in the last year. EXCELLENT.

So much more lemony (read Burgundian) than the Claire, which I found to be a bit oaky. This is delightful, finding a great balance between acidity and fullness, with a buttery mouth feel. I really like this one.

Chardonnays don't get much better than this. Soft lemon flavor, light butter, trace of oak and perfect acidity.

Delicious CA chard with layers of flavors and a luscious mouth feel. Rich, without being too oaky or buttery, and good acidity to balance it out.

Higher acid than in some years; more lemon peel and lemon pie. I have to believe they had a hard time getting the fruit ripe. Still a very nice wine.
