This wine has really come into form- it took many years to loosen up and I’m really sorry I drank so many of these in their unforgiving youth. Very zingy and fresh with some underlying complexity- tremendous energy. Should continue to improve with time.

Excellent bottle despite a partially raised cork and even a tiny bit of seepage. Very elegant, multi-layered aromas, superb texture (the Fisch-Rayer 10 year review is spot on). Again for me the 2011 vintage is turning out some unexpected pleasures. I should have more of this very fine producer in the cellar!

This definitely didn’t have the explosiveness or complexity of some other vintages when young but age is treating this kindly. This is a riesling in the vein of Clos Ste Hune - you have to lean in a little to get the nuances but this is an excellent wine that is just starting to come out of its shell. I underrated this wine early on and I think the lack of residual sugar made it a bit harsh and monolithic upon release but it seems like it should really drink well over the next 5 years. I must say I really like the approach here of letting the vineyards and vintages speak for themselves rather than trying to pursue a house style or a pradikat level.

Has developed well in the cellar. Citrus, lime and tropical fruit, pineapple and peaches, some petrol, less acid and better balance than three years ago. Still light, fresh and crisp. Drinks beautiful now. Sad to say it was my last bottle.

Seems to have improved a bit since last tasting, but still lacking the complexity and depth you might expect given the hype and the asking price. A good summer riesling, pretty dry and acidic, and can be enjoyed with or without food but keep the pairing in the lighter side

Ultimo lunch time tasting (Ultimo wine centre (but now vintage cellars)): Lime, petrol and a slight confected orange note…quite disparate on the nose. In the mouth the wine has tart lime and orange and bit of a mid palate scoop. I cannot believe they have the audacity to charge AUD 80 for this wine.

screamingly good match with some brightly-flavored takeout (sweet pork shoulder with red dates, abalone mushroom with pea shoots, fire-charred pork kidney, luffa). Though concerned that the dry focus of the wine might not make a great match, the bold flavors but low spice of the food actually complimented perfectly. The wine was stunning, accenting subtle flavors in the food and hitting the fattiness of the pork as perfectly as one could imagine. Performing very nicely, couldn't ask for more.

Liked this allot, had a small taste a week ago and it was remarkable nose of citrus and tropical fruit, similar palate with intensity popping from mid palate though a decent finish!

A pleasant, eminently drinkable wine for the summer: light and refreshing but not much more. I find the price (and the enthusiasm on-line about this estate if my bottle was representative) baffling.

Appears to be shut down along with the rest of the 2011 IB bottles.

Citrus and seawater nose. Some mineral/petrol/pear flavors. Good dose of acid and edgy. Not terribly complex right now, but good cut and energy.

Bright fruit, flavor and intensity without the weight, and a very long finish. Lovely. Still young, will develop.
