Ordered off of Bern's Steak House's dessert wine menu. The bottle was decanted and then immediately served. Fully brown in color, like a 30-year tawny. No alcohol heat, and the tannins were fully resolved. Sweet with a little acidity to keep in interesting. Very easy to drink. Past full maturity but not in decay, but this probably has as much to do about Bern's cold cellar as anything. So if you're at Bern's, don't be afraid to order a bottle.

Porto and chocolate (Rome - Cavalieri Hilton): Medium amber colour, a bit cloudy. Dried fruits and spicy, but not sweet. Balsamic (confora). Less elegant, with an overwhelming alcohol. Less structured and less fruit. The worst of the tasting. Past its time.
