Quick taste at Hedonist Wines. Perfumed, floral nose dominated by green apples. Slightly earthy but fresh. Light, easy drinking with medium body. Fruity finish.

Still singing. This wine delivers high value and complexity at the price point. Nose of sea minerals, medium plus oak and a hint of brown sugar but it's bone dry on the palate. There you find lemon peel, seaweed. Very buttery midpalate. Full bodied, almost oily viscosity. Not long but no big flaws to the finish

A blend of Rabigato, Viosinho, Codega do Larinho and Gouveio from 50 year old vines. I agree with others' observations of the echo of white graves. I think this needs more time to add some complexity to the acidity and length.

Similar notes to the last bottle I enjoyed. A little more familiar this time around. This is a wine for the sea. It's interesting and well balanced - pair with food

Very interesting wine. The reference to a white Bordeaux in earlier tastingnotes is understandable. The Nose: fresh, some oak, apple. On the palate this wine starts of round, rich. Oak, Apple, followed by a splash of citrus and the finish is laced with salinity. Pairs nicely with farfalle, pistaccio, ricotta and pancetta. Will do great with Shell fish or oysters. Great experience.

Golden color in the glass often portends a unique and interesting wine. Tasted a little backward in the absence of residual sugar on entry, but followed by a rather large mid palate and finish. Profile is complex and slightly unfamiliar, difficult for me to describe, but I noted lots of oyster shell and ocean scents. Balanced acidity and plenty of body. Will buy again if just for another stab at it...

Seymour Wine Club Meeting 1/24/15 (Home of the Slywka's): Tasted blind but it was the only white and I immediately knew it was the Guru. Nose of matchstick, slate, a splash of citrus and mineral. It then had flavors of beeswax, slate, and saline. This had a very bright acidity and a mineral driven finish. Kind of resembled a some white Bordeaux's but still a little different. The best showing for this wine in the 2-3 times I have had it. This finished tied for WOTN.

No notes, but complex and yet surprisingly fresh. A fair amount of oak and herbs, with yellow fruit and a good acid. To a fish-soup with aioli. Very good!

Decided to give this a try with some stuffed clams. Nose of salt, popcorn, slate and a distinct minerality. Almost Burgundian. The wine had the mouthfeel of a white Bordeaux maybe, with not the heaviness of a oaked Chardonnay or a lightness of a Sauvignon Blanc. Got flavors of pear, slate, tons of mineral but the flavors kind of hit a weird spot in the mid palate but come on strong for a long finish. Very nice acidity and a very unique wine. Worth seeking out and trying.

Burgundian in spirit! An exceptional white showing the talent behind the wine in not so much what was but what was not done. Minerality, oak that is integrating well, apple citrus and kiwi fruit, with a beam of acidity, this is the best modern profile white Portuguese wine I have had to date. A clean, persistent finish rounds things out nicely. Bravo Sandra!

Love this wine. Still showing fine but I'd probably buy newer at this point. Try if you want to get off the beaten Chardonnay path.

This bottle was the best of my lot. Outstanding balance. Lots of seashells and saline notes - recommend with seafood
