  • Opened on Halloween, my wife's birthday so it had to be good or I would be turned into a frog.
Gave this some air in the bottle for several hours, lovely perfume of stone fruits and a littleginger ! that slightly oily feel in the mouth you get with these quality PGs, peaches and honey to the fore, not a long finish but a lovely wine, sipped on its own till gone.
This was purchased at the winery.

  • After using the coravin the cork was popped a few weeks later. More acidic but still tasty. Improved with air.

  • Delicious and juicy with peachy stone fruit and orange/lime citrusy flavors. Full and broad in the mouth, but also zesty. Finish was a bit short.

  • Well balanced with some residual sugar. Definite mushroom on the nose. Juicy on the back palate. An excellent foie gras wine.

  • Great example of what Pinot Gris can be. Crisp with a mouthful of fruit- pear, apricot, citrus, and a bit of sweet basil. Medium to long finish. Great on its own or complimenting many dishes from seafood to spicier fare.

  • From a half bottle. Ca. 10-15% Botrytis. Light yellow. In the nose, at first there's next to nothing, except some wet cardboard. Yuck. With some air and temperature, it blossoms. Candied ginger, salty lemon, candied mango and pineapple, funnily a strong note of kiwi fruit, in the background some Arabian spices. Very complex. On the palate, it also needs some getting used to. At first, it seems just oily, sweet and flat. But with time and temperature, a really fine acidity comes through and breathes life into the wine, some fruitiness that goes into the background with more time. Very fine minerality that dominates the long finish that also has notes of kiwi and pineapple. An amazing, complex wine.
