On nose, tart cherry, cranberry, forest floor & stems - very "Burgundian." On palate, medium body, high acidity, low tannins and long finish. Flavor profile similar to nose - this wine is in a great place. 92+/-

A muted nose of some fruit and some spice, medium ruby in color. A medium to full bodied red, with cherry, raspberry, some spice on flat finish, past it’s prime, expected more. www.winelx.com

Great nose with raspberries, strawberries. Seamless and pleasant on the core with most red berries, but also a deep and solid core. Lots of layers to enjoy.

German Pinot tasting, wine #8: (joker). Dark red in color. Extreme nose with the most dominant scent of rhubarb I've ever experienced. Funky mouthfeel with rhubarb, gooseberry and hot spices. High acidity, lively spirit and reasonable balance. Definitely stands out in the crowd. 85p. Best votes=0, worst votes=5. LOTN. My worst vote.

Very dark red color, 3mm clear margin. PNP, followed 1 glass over 2.5hrs. Big fruit initially, had some attractice earth on the nose, dark cherry, cranberry, cherry cola, spiced. The palate is rather spicy with black pepper, dried herbs, choke cherry, tart cranberry, cherry cola, quite a bit of heat. Has a very typical central coast palate. Not a fan myself. Probably on the downswing. Big fruit initially, but diminishes some with the heat.

Darker fruit profile, with stewed plums, blueberry, and black cherry. Full bodied. Missing acid. Was not a fan, but no obvious flaw. Very different from my last note on this.

Opened great, with loads of fruit and some earth, with good, full feel. Thinned out over the next hour, and became a bit woody. That wordiness did then dissipate some, but left mostly the thinness and the structure. So, a mixed bag in the end, from say a 92 to an 87?

Medium (-) ruby color. Infectious medium intensity, youthful nose of red cherry, raspberry, rose, sage, and forest floor. Medium body with bright medium (+) acidity and medium (-) tannins. Flavors similar to nose, but the fruit shows a bit more over the aromatics. Medium acid driven finish.

25 June 2016 Tasting at Phredd's: 4th Pinot of the flight provided by RHudak. Not pleasant- grape jelly, funk, some sour cherries, blue fruit pie filling, some pepper and smoke, rounded out with a bitter finish. RHudak gave this one every chance but I doubt the bottle was finished. Lacks any varietal typicity IMO.

Not giving this one a rating as I hope I just had an off bottle. Very thin on the palate and a slight nose at best. Not characteristic of any of the other Ojai I have had in the past. Not close to a 90 if my remaining two bottles show no better than this particular one.

93+ Paired with smoked chicken on the bone. Very Burgundian in nose / palate feel. Earth, red currants, floral, tart cherry on nose & palate. Medium body, high acids & long finish. Should have a long life - left 1/2 a glass in the bottle overnight with no cork and was as good or better on night 2 (in AM but bottle under vacu-vin in fridge).

Pure and clean. Crystalline blue fruits. On the nose this is super pure and expressive. Deep berry preserves. Fabulous balance and finesse. The tannins are super silky and suave.

Dark red. Nose opens up after a few hours without being overwhelming. Nice, rounded on the palate, but not really taking off. Pleasant, but not to die for.

The nose showed cherry, citrus peel, woodland herbs, undergrowth and fresh turned soil. On the palate it was soft with brisk acidity, tart red fruits, grapefruit and minerals. A clean finish with tart red fruits lingered long.

Opened 1 hour before enjoying with grilled grouper. My wife guessed this was a Burgundy. Cherry, red currants, cranberry & touch of dirt on nose. On palate, similarflavor profile with very bright fruit given high acidity and very long finish - medium body & very elegant. Would not have guessed CA blind. 92-93+ range. Would buy again!

I see what AG is getting at with this one. It has a ton of energy but it is all bound up. Red fruited but very twangy in that pinot way along with tart acidity, it practically bounces off the tongue with energy. Needs some time to settle in but it has great depth. Brilliant pinot but for now you have to focus on it. 93++.
Day 3 update- just a cork in the fridge. Best day yet. Med+ body. Outstanding perfume of cool macerated red berries. This is bursting with sour cherry, cranberry, a lithe thread of licorice, subtle blanket of seasoning, and strawberry with a rhubarb like herbaceousness. No oak. Still very structured, very balanced, and good grip. This is unbelievable pinot and what a promising future. 94+.

Fruit forward with nice concentration and very easy drinking - Mrs Tenor and I plowed through the whole bottle, which is unusual. I really enjoyed this but don't have detailed notes, as it was overshadowed in my palate memory by the fabulous food at Cochon in Philadelphia.

Hit of tartish black cherry on entry. Dusty roses on the nose. Medium to light body. Woody-etheric alchohol finish reminiscent of a bourbon/single malt finish, like say, Michter's 10 year old. Decent tannins for backbone. A good food wine overall. With salmon, for instance.
