The wine exhibits little in the way of aroma except some alcohol and toasted fruit notes. The midpalate is nicely structured with cassis, good acidity and a mineral streak that carries to the finish. I think it has potential for improvement but will most likely never be stellar.

Deep ruby in color with slight bricking at the edges, this wine shows focused aromas of both black and red fruits, primarily plum as well as vanilla and cedar on the nose. The mouth feel is medium-bodied and rich with soft tannins and defined baking spices. The finish was medium in length with the black and red fruits standing out. 13.5% abv.
Purchased for $9US, this is an outstanding qpr that is recommended to buy by the case. It shows its sense of place but also has enough up front fruit to make it an easy daily drinker.

This is a solid value at 8 bones. Certainly a good option for the casual wine drinker stop by, but interesting enough for me to enjoy as well. Dense, opaque coloring, with ruby at the very edge. Aromas of cassis, black raspberry, blueberry, fresh herbs, funk, and minerals. Medium body, acid, and finish, and largely consistent flavors on the palate, particularly the tart black raspberry and fresh herbs.

Dark maroon with garnet highlights. Crushed raspberry (not a lot, just a few), wet leather and nutmeg nose. Light to medium bodied, black cherries, grainy sour tannins, cranberries, herbs, and a medium finish. Bland at first, then fruity, then rustic. It can't seem to figure out what it is.

First bottle of four. PnP at cellar temperature. Pours garnet with a clear rim. Clearly has bottle age based on appearance. Nose carries moderate-intensity aromas of dried red and port fruits, dry earth, and seasoned wood. Dried fruits carry through very well to the palate, where they are supported by extremely fine, well-integrated medium(-) tannins and pleasantly tart medium(+) acid. Not exceptional in length.
For a <USD$8 bottle, this is a really solid wine. Glad we picked up four. Time is running out on this...drink by mid-2017. "Very good," 87/100.

Very dark in color, very light in flavor; crisp, for a red, tangy; young tasting. V. good value at less than eight smackers at Cindy, if you like the style. Not great structure -- a hole in the middle -- but there's something interesting about it.

I was expecting this to be more fruit forward. It was not. It was rather dry but not offensive. If that's your flavor profile this may work as an every day red. This wine became more agreeable for me on day 2. It became a bit more fruity.

Really surprised by the price point, which I expected to be $25...- $11 a great deal. Bright berries and just a touch of spice. Simple and fun, but pairs well with pork.

Excellent value here at under $10. More modern styled Rioja but still classic Tempranillo expression of cherry, just with a bit more heft. Drink now +3-4 years.

Consistent with last note, and at $8 I should have bought a case of this. Sadly, this was my last of 3.

Decent enough medium-weight red that's pretty much in balance. Solid qpr at under eight bones. Drink up.

A modern but not fruit bomb take on Rioja. Good for the price but I think I rather spend twice as much ;-)

I drank this in two sittings, and the time to breath made a world of difference.
When I first opened it, there wasn't a lot on the nose, and to me the palate was dominated by cocoa, with vanilla on the finish.
Drinking it today, a day later, it's almost a different wine.
The nose is strong black cherry, and the cocoa note is still on the palate, but it goes well with the new fruit.
Overall, very pleasant, smooth, drinkable wine. One negative is a bit of an odd butterscotch aftertaste.
