  • The 2011 Mount Edward Riesling Morrison Vineyard is medium pale straw in colour with a full-on nose of predominant grapefruits with an underlying touch of kerosene and fresh pineapples.

On the palate, an entry - a burst of fresh sweet grapefruit. A consistent mid-palate that continued displaying sweet grapefruits. There's a powerful underlying acidity that is almost unnoticeable and pushes flavours through to the back end palate. The fresh, sweet, grapefruit flavours fades to unripe green mangoes. A medium finish with mouth coating minerality along with sugar and pleasant sweetness. Medium dry.

  • Riesling Rampage: Extremely sulphurous, some citrus after a while in the glass but hard to pick up much else. The palate is soft without much character. Not a good showing, some time in bottle will help it to settle but I don't know that the palate will be able to lift that much.
