Cork in great condition. Beautiful nose. Decanted and drank over three hours. Never faded. In a really good place. But still quality life left in it. My wife and I both agreed that it has no reached its peak. Wish I had more!

La Cave d'Argent nailed the notes and score in my mind. Had this with numerous other top end wines and I felt this was a great wine both on the nose, mouthfeel, and palate. My lone bottle and wish I had purchased more. This was an auction bottle that was supposed to be the 2014 but turned out to be 2010. On the palate, it had notes of smoked meat, black and blue fruit profile, and spice box on the finish. I personally loved it!!

Purchased upon release, pop and pour. After 30 minutes of air the wine has definitely opened up, showing ripe dark fruit and asphalt on the nose.
While theres good fruit flavor as the wine hits the palate, it doesn’t come across as full in taste as it does on the nose. There’s intensity. Still strikes me as a solid offering from the vintage and an enjoyable pour, but I don’t see the life in this bottle that others Purchased upon release, pop and pour. Opaque ruby in color, the 2010 Stone Place Cabernet remains chock full of dark bramble fruits, espresso, graphite, smoke and baking spices. Full-bodied, freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (14.4%), it is beautifully dense on the mid-palate. Although the tannins have softened during the past five years, there is still plenty of grip on the lengthy back end. Now at an early point in its drinking window, this should remain enjoyable throughout the next decade. Drink now-2030.

Overpriced Napa cab....by a lot ! Yes, it is an ok wine that tastes good if the wine was $40, but for $100+ I can tell you that it the most overpriced wine I have had in a long long time. The wine need time to open up but then suddenly everything goes south FAST! I bought this wine when I was in Napa with my wife directly from the winery and we loved it at that time, now, 4 years later we find the wine extremely dissapointing.

Decanted and allowed to breathe for 2.5 hours before following over 2 more hours. Pine, blackberry, black plum and damp forest floor on the nose. Tannins resolve quickly - breathing time was fine, became too watery for my preference at 3.5 hours after initial decant, showing the vintage's soft spots. Very nice wine, overpriced for my taste.

A touch hot but has similar characteristics to Gemstone which I like a lot (Pam Starr is the winemaker for both). Well balance, lots of plum, blueberry and black licorice. A very nice wine.

Napa Valley Wine and Food Excursion 2013; 9/30/2013-10/5/2013 (Napa Valley, California): Rich and layered, this opaque crimson Cabernet brims with ripe bramble fruits, espresso, smoke, iron and vanilla. Full-bodied and fresh, it frames the flavors with firm tannins and nicely integrated alcohol (14.4%). The fruit continues to gain traction throughout the mid-palate, and the wine concludes with a long, albeit tannic finish. This is classic-quality Cabernet Sauvignon with impressive structure. Patience will be necessary but will undoubtedly be rewarded. Drink 2018-2030.

Dark violet red. Nose of cumin, bizarrely, which obscures anything else. Rich but heavy on the alcohol.

Still rather young and fruit forward. Structured though with subtler flavor showing in the finish. Very tasty.
Let it sit for a while longer and I’m sure it will develop even more character.

Beautiful wine. Decanted for 45 minutes, and then enjoyed . . . thoroughly. Extremely well balanced wine. Enjoy!

Classic Napa cab. Outstanding already, but a decade or more of life in it that will just improve it even more.
