A little more acid and tannin than usual for the region - more serious and may last a little longer, but not as much fun as a basic southern Rhone rose should be.

Consumed over ~1 1/2 hours with dinner. Light and fresh, strawberry and mineral and a pleasant hint of something green on the nose. Dry and refreshing with good acid balance. A bit simple and a touch watery, perhaps, but still a nice summer wine, and one I'd happily drink more of.

Light salmon, light strawberry nose with hint of licorice. Dry with mineral, light licorice, strawberry, kiwi, watermelon light smooth body with refreshing acid, some mineral on the finish.

Might have expected more depth and character given producer and winemaker's reputation and unique method of mixed fermentation, but felt it was a bit on the bland side. It does have a distinctive bottle!

for $10 (sadly sold out now at K&L) a great rose'. My guess is its better this had a few extra months, as the acidity is very lively, will carry and drink well through the holidays easily. (Jason notes below he found it at Whole Foods too)
Light salmon pink color Nose of blood orange, baby aspirin (damn you to heck Alan Baker! :) ) , hint of ocean breeze Nice citrus notes - red grapefruit, tangerine, blood orange. Long finish. racy acid, best served with a good (not too much!) chill
Rhone rose' rules the roost :)

Not much in the nose. Starts in the mouth: Apple, citrus rind, starfruit. Good acidity. Easy pairing with seafood or a sandwich. Nice pink at a nice price, wish we made pinks like this in the USA.

Savory, fleshy with a nice mineral edged, spiced acidity. Enjoyable, available (Whole Food's) and $10 to boot... I've already enjoyed two bottles and am guessing more finds its way home soon...

Medium salmon pink in color. Aromas of ripe strawberries, grapefruit and a hint of mint. Flavors follow along and provide a refreshing acidity. Finish is moderately long. Served chilled, this is a good Summer wine. Excellent QPR!

Not sure this 2012 version is as exciting as previous vintages. The nose is a little shy, and the flavor is on the flat side. We always expect explosive fresh strawberry and red red raspberry fruit from French rose, and this one does not quite deliver. It starts out with absolutely stunning color somewhere between salmon and pink. The fruit is kind of shy and overpowered by some unruly acidity which does not allow the fruit to properly blossom. Not totally a disaster, but wish there was more fresh fruit.

The Table: Delicate. Nice starter. Berry, with very slight minerality. Refreshing start on a hot summer night.

this was a very delicate and light red with bracing mineral aromas. It was quite sweet but crisp with a faint balancing body

Nice, light floral nose. Simple, very pleasant subdued fruity palate, somewhere between strawberry and cherry. Perfect for a warm summer eve.
