Nice QPR wine in a good drinking window. Especially good with food. Tina really liked it - bold with tertiary characteristics 7.5/10. Decanted 1 hour and didn’t evolve much beyond that.

1 hr decant, modest sediment. Nice open nose of graphite, cigar box and cassis. Similar on the palate with mocha, spice and some red fruit. Medium bodied and some acid trying to win the day on the finish. Now-2025.

2 hour decant, very nice St Julien Bdx for the $40 I paid for it, I doubt it gets much better, tannins are nicely resolved, went great with short ribs and some Stilton Blue Cheese after dinner

92% Cabernet, so one of a kind to do that. 6% Merlot, and the Franc. The impression of a real Saint Julien - you do get the spice, mild tobacco, crushed coffee beans, pencil lead - graphite. All quite typical of Saint Julien.
Has the structure but is the aromas noted before that makes the strongest impressions on the wine.
It is not the second wine Leoville Las Cases.

Decanted 1,5 hours. Deep ruby with violet hues. Blackberries and black currants, cocoa, leather, plum confiture and some spices. Fine expression of Saint-Julien (Cab 92%). Paired well with great porterhouse steak.

Dark red color. On nose, wet earth, gravel, red currants. On palate, medium body, medium+ acids and medium+ finish. Flavor profile was similar to nose. Tannins are med+ and this was better with the steak. 90+ today but should improve a point or two with some bottle age. Will pick up a few bottles for the cellar as this should age nicely. My wife loved this.

Wet earth, cedar and tobacco on the nose, with present, but manageable tannins and fresh cassis in the finish. Give this a few years to develop even more charm.

With a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon at 92%, the rest of the blend comes from 6% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Aged in 40% new French oak, the wine reached 13.5% alcohol. Roasted black raspberries, cedar, spice and cassis notes lead to a rich, refined mouthful of sweet blackberry and cocoa, ripe tannins and a fresh finish. 89-90 Pts
