Oh yea this is on tonight. Dancingly light but rich and sweetly flavored with ripe yellow stone fruit and some tropical notes. Great acidity and a silky, light texture.

This bottle showed more advanced than I expected based on my last experience in 2017. Golden in color. Mellow orchard fruit and wet rock on the complex and lovely nose. Palate shows great balance and acidity, the lush sweet apricot balanced by a sapid bitter minerality. Nothing but joy here.

Willi Schaefer is my very own Riesling hero. I have bought several of his Kabinett and spatlese from various vintages and have never been less than delighted. On this occasion it turned up a notch to Wonderful; exciting; concentrated and just beautiful. I am pretty sure it will age beautifully but it was so lovely now, it is difficult to resist. Thank you Willi!

Rich and unctuous, but still focused and with great acidity and energy - manages to be refreshing still. Delicious wine, and there is clearly a WHOLE lot more in reserve, still so young.

Sulfurous nose on opening; penetrating sweet Riesling fruit appropriate to a Spätlese. Rich but very pleasant drinking. After a few days in the fridge the sulfur burned off' leaving a more balanced and mellow wine. with a better blend of flavors to complement the sweetness. Recommended.

Why drink anything else when you can drink Riesling?
Beautiful nose with medium intense aromas of citrus fruit, light kerosene, a little whipped cream, pears, strawberries, herbs and cantaloup melons.
Very well balanced on the palate. Half dry, with a good, fresh acidity. Feels light, round and very polished. Medium bodied. Medium+ intensity and a medium finish.
Very nice! Will probably do well in a few years, but there is clearly no problem with drinking this now.

Clear, pale intensity lemon color. A fair amount of CO2 detected.
Youthful nose with a medium aroma intensity. Classic Mosel-nose with aromas of lime, green pear, melon, rubber, petrol, stony mineral, honeysuckle, white flowers and fresh herbs.
Half-dry on the palate with a medium(+) acidity and medium body. The flavor intensity is medium with flavors of lime juice, green pear, honeysuckle, fresh grapes and grassy herbs. The finish is medium.
Surprisingly light in style for being a Spätlese from Schaefer but it's damn tasty and refreshing. Perfect wine for this time a year. This could benefit from further aging but it lacks a bit of acidity and stuffing for the long run. Better drink it today and enjoy it's freshness.

Seemed to like this more than others so far, nice nose of apples, pear, hint of citrus and rock in the background, palate has juicy fruit with a nice acidic core with a solid length finish

50 grams of suger, but it feels less. A wonderful acidity is complementing the sweetness in a creamy and velvety way. Perfect classical riesling nose and palate. Extremely crisp and young and gorgeous. I cannot wait to see what this will be like in 10 years time. If I can get my hand on more bottles, that is.

Definitely a riesling on the nose. On the palate a young wine. Sweet, fresh and bubbly in the beginning before avidity reveals itself. A very nice and balanced wine. Drinkable now.

Overshadowed by the Prum, but still quite good, in a very different style. Much lighter in frame, appley and limey and meadowy, less slatey, far less extract, lacks the power and intensity and complexity of the Prum but is delicious in its own right. More peachy and stone-fruity on day two, where without the Prum GH alongside the elegance really shines, this is gulpably delicious and light on its feet.

Tasty, sweet and light. Dinner companion said that he felt like the wine was petillant. I think that was just the vibrant acidity.

Awesome wine that drinks like a soft drink. It is gossamer feeling, thirst-quenching, ripe stone-fruit sweet but well-balanced with plenty of acidity.

Golden apple and honeydew and cream and meadow. Not super slatey, but it has that pretty dewey meadow quality. Goes down easy.
