The medium- to full-bodied, ripe and brooding wine was inky dark ruby in colour and offered ripe red and some black fruit, dark chocolate and spice on the nose and palate, complemented by an underlying mineral component, with medium-level acidity, fine, medium- to medium-plus tannin and good length of the herbal finish. On day two. pruny and raisiny, and less pleasant. Good value.

Robe très sombre. Des saveurs persistantes de fruits noirs, acidité bien dosée. Bien mur, mais pas trop alcooleux. Meilleur en demie bouteille le surlendemain, encore moins de chaleur et plus de profondeur. Bâti pour vivre quelques années en cave. RQP ****

Le vin émane des arômes évoquant les prunes et les mûres, avec un jolie boisé non intrusif et une pointe de fumée. La bouche est corsée et concentré mais bien balancé par une acidité idéale, sur un jolie fruit à parfaite maturité. En somme, une belle Grenache sudiste gourmande et à point!

Decanting a must with this at its young age, and you will appreciate once you do so. Notes of blackberry, herbs, ash, & lavender. This becomes a pretty complex and intriguing wine, again, once you give it some time to develop and aerate.

Après 30 min. d'aération, ce vin dévoile des notes de fruits noirs et de chêne. La bouche est assez concentré et équilibré mais manque un peu de vigueur et de longueur. Pas assez distinctif également. Tout de même bon dans l'ensemble, mais il y a bien mieux pour le prix... À moins que je sois tombé sur une bouteille "so so".

The wine has high acidity. It smells like blackberry, flint, mushroom, medium toast, molasses, cool/menthol and butterscotch. The wine finishes long. It tastes like blackberry, Herbes de Provence, black pepper, cool/menthol, stoniness, mineral and bell pepper. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has coarse texture.

Très bon vin. Ça crie Grenache et Syrah dès l'ouverture avec un nez et bouche très typique des cépages. Saveurs de fruits très présente, surtout les pruneaux, mais aucunement surmuri. Texture veloutée avec une belle structure tannique et une bonne acidité qui le rend le tout bien digeste. Très bon vin de BBQ. Meilleur autour de 18 degré. Pas vraiment amélioré le lendemain, mais toujours aussi bon. RQP ****

Varietal composition: 50 % Grenache, 35 % Syrah and 15 % Mourvèdre. Maturation: 14 months, 70 % in tanks and 30 % in oak barrels. Color: intense dark-red color with some purple tinges at the rim. Bouquet: upon opening, the nose was almost non-existent, but it opened up nicely after two hours in the decanter with scents of mature red fruit, kirsch liqueur, leather and a hint of vanilla. Palate: a masculine, firmly structured wine dominated by opulent cherry and plum fruit and supported by a well-balanced acidity. Aftertaste: long finish with some drying tannins on the back end. This is very approachable at present, however a bit of age wouldn't hurt.
Samenstelling: 50 % Grenache, 35 % Syrah en 15 % Mourvèdre. Rijping: 14 maanden, 70 % in tanks en 30 % in eiken vaten. Kleur: intense donkerrode kleur met wat paarse tinten aan de rand van het glas. Bouquet: zo goed als geen neus bij het ontkurken van de fles, doch deze ontwikkelde zich mooi na een uur of twee in de decanteerkaraf met aroma’s van rijp rood fruit, kirsch, leder en ook een vleugje vanille. Smaak: een mannelijke, degelijk gestructureerde wijn, gedomineerd door weelderig kers- en pruimfruit en ondersteund door een goed geïntegreerde aciditeit . Afdronk: lange finale met wat uitdrogende tannines. De wijn is nu al goed toegankelijk, maar wat meer kelderrust zal hem zeker niet schaden.

Très bon vin.
