Nice dark garnet color with berries and some oak on the nose. Medium bodied with good fruit on the palate coupled with a medium to long finish. Has what I would expect for an old vine Zin from the Dry Creek Valley. Tannins and dry body would make it good for medium to robust entrees or for the aged cheese course. For the price (Less than $13) I would consider it VERY GOOD value. Definitely would consider for repurchase.

Pale garnet color, transparent and thin in appearance. Not much aromatics, mild jammy nose. Thin mouthfeel with mild silky tannins and short finish. Good enough for quaffing but not much here. Even at this price, I think there is much more out there.

This bottle seemed even worse than the first. Really not a pleasant wine. No redeeming qualities, honestly. Nothing offensive, horrible, or actively unpleasant. Just a weak, thin-bodied wine with nothing at all going on. Not the first time I've had a major divergence of opinion with JHN.

I'm dubious about the ratings without tasting notes, looks like a troll at work, perhaps in the pay of Jonathan H. Newman of WTSO ratings fame. Tasting notes on the 2010 vintage don't suggest that this is 90+ wine.

Nice, reliable, juicy, chewy, typical zin. For the price, a nifty buy, would repeat.

Not bad, but ordinary, a littly jammy, plain, watery outer notes. Good reminder to avoid impulse purchasing from WTSO.

No idea where the 90+ point ratings are coming from and I am usually fairly generous.
This is a pretty mediocre Zin. A little thin, just not a whole lot happening. I, too, am suspicious of motives on some notes-free ratings.

Like previous bottles, delicious dark bramble fruit on the nose and palate with a little vanilla and spice. Enjoyable.

For the price, with was at wonderful zin. Lots of dark fruit, vanilla and spice ... had 2 bottles of it prior to leaving for Crescendo.
