It's been 9 years since my last taste of this and time has done this good. Much richer and less severe than before. Tropical fruits and floral notes framed by bright acidity. Wonderful transformation.

Very deep golden color. Beautiful nose of bruised apricots, star fruit and fresh lilies! Quite full bodied, this is loaded with lemon/lime, membrillo, apricot nectar and a hint of slate-y saltiness under everything else. Fantastically delicious, this just dances across the palate! Drink now-2026 93

PNP. Cork perfect. Color straw. Nose shows white fruits and some herbaceousness. Swishing shows serious density here, with both RS and acid. Cold this seems more sweet than cellar temp. Still, finish goes and goes and is dominated by pineapple and a touch of citrus. This is serious and well balanced and I think will resolve nicely. Given youthfulness will wait 10+ to try last bottle.

Medium deep gold color. Beautiful nose of honeysuckle and apricot. Apricot, quince paste, persimmon and lemon/lime juice and zest. Absolutely a delight to drink and still very fresh. 91

Yellow peaches, tangerine, and orange blossoms. Good acidity has kept this 19year old fresh. Longer than I recall from prior bottles. Just lovely with lockdown takeout Pad Kee Mao (chicken & shrimp) from Thai Kitchen.

Medium-dark golden yellow. Beautiful nose of yellow fruits baked golden brown with a tiny drizzle of sourwood honey. Spring flowers too. The palate is much sweeter than I expected. This has Spatlese-level body, but Auslese level sweetness. Good acidity keeps it from being at all cloying. This is perfectly fine, but is unexciting and needs to be used after dinner with strong cheeses. Very young, perhaps this needs a few more years. Drink 2019-2026 90

Medium-light yellow color. Mature mosel nose of slatey minerals, fresh flowers and lime zest. Medium-light bodied, a little lean, and only lightly sweet. Still fresh, but has reached full maturity. Great smoky mineral character on the finish. Redolent of pit fruit, but dominated by minerals and citrus zest. Fleshed out and added fruit with additional air. 91 df 9.1

Very consistent with earlier bottles, but seems just a touch deeper, more mature. Yellow peaches and delicate citrus, with a hint of chalk or crushed stone this time. Rich mouthfeel which might be deepening with age. Very nice with North Indian fare: lamb roghan josh, okra, chicken dishes. Coincidentally compared against '04 Donnhoff Dellchen Spatlese, which edged this one out again.

The nose is somewhat muted but the palate is quite nice. It's not youthful but still very fresh. Notes of nectarine, lemon, lime, mango and a bit of petrol. A bit of sweetness balances the pleasant acidity; light mineral notes are there as well. Don't hesitate to open one now though this should continue to age at least through its 20th birthday if not beyond.

Looking youthful still. Peaches and citrus. Crisp acidity. Not quite as luscious or long as the Donnhoff '04 Spatlese; CC found the two very different--my palate isn't that discriminating. But mighty fine with the Origin fare: Massaman curry and Pad Kee Mao.

Straw color not too different from the '09 Spätlese from same vineyard. Peaches and passion fruit on the palate. Still fresh, but developing secondary flavors. Not as long as the Spät, but was more subtle and nuanced, and appealed more for being at the other end of the 'off-dry' spectrum. Paired beautifully with the lamb curry, which (Jamie Oliver's) was not OTT heat-wise. WOTN

Off dry with peaches, tropical fruits and citrus. This is showing quite a bit of evolution with secondary flavors coming through. The acids are adequate but the focus and length could be better. Overall, a very nice experience.

Dinner with an out of town guest? (Pasha 1604): Absolutely lovely. Starting to deepen in color, like pale copper. Rich petrol, pear aromas. Bright tart fruit on palate with a fair amount of sweetness. Amazing depth of flavors for what I must assume is a QBa. Plenty of life left.

PNP. cork perfect. color light straw. nose shows TDN and fruit. swishing unloads the acid which coats the cheeks and tongue. finish is med length and balanced. sipping allows the fruit to shine. this has significant density. no danger of decline here as this appears surprisingly youthful. I will wait at least 3-5 to try again to allow this some evolution.

Apple, cooked fruits, citrus, flowers. Cutting, grippy, spicy, integrated sweetness, great balance. Sweet citrus, clean stoniness, light pithiness on the finish. Delicious. Beautiful Nahe.

Just a hint of petrol, 12 years in, masked by the touch of residual sugar. Excellent finish.
