  • Yum. Last bottle. Similar to previous one - but lots of blueberries from the start. Tannins are present but starting to fade to my taste. Really nice with our hearty lamb stew (the red wine/rosemary version, not the Guinness version.) Very enjoyable, wish I had one more.

  • Quite tasty, fruit forward, initially cherries, some blueberries emerging with more air, but not in a fruit-bomb kind of way. Still has enough on the back end to keep everything balanced. Tannins still present but not obtrusive. Had it with a humble yet delicious leftover penne sausage peppers onion bake and this wine did fine - presumably because the dish was heavy on sausage. We'll see how the rest of the bottle does later in the week, but I'm not understanding the LM99 points. Even so, it's interesting and tasty.

  • This is a tasty wine. But this is also nothing like any Aglianico I would expect. The fruit on this is HUGE, and there's some vanilla/chocolate thing likely happening from oak treatment. The fruit profile is not syrupy and overripe, but it does have a strawberry/blueberry jam profile. This is an after dinner sipper and I'd avoid it with any type of Italian food.
