Expressive and complex nose of pop corn, lemon oil, fennel and mineralic elements. The palate is also fantastic, mouthfilling yet elegant and deleniated. Hard to beleive how open this was. A great Chard from a great producer.

Was not giving initially even with a 30min decant. After a few hours in the glass it really picked up notes of minerals, silex and citrus. Very long finish. Powerfull finish while the nose was still closed.

Raveneau Grand Cru with Maxime Raveneau (110 Taillevent London): During Raveneau dinner with Maxime Raveneau sampling all three GCs 12/10/08/05 at 110 Taillevent London. No formal notes taken. This was packed and stacked, very electric and mineral. Too young today should be grand. 93 today with potential to 95.

A small gathering with COVID safety measures (Reston, Va): Very ripe and slightly flat initially. Medium expressive nose displaying very ripe yellow fruit, lemon curd, lemon oil, a hint of dry peach, honey, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, packed ripe yellow fruit, rich and oily, medium acidity, medium mineral and a medium to long ripe yellow fruit driven finish. This is a dense and ripe style of Raveneau. I love Raveneau’s style of combining opulent and precision. Although delicious, it lacks precision. Perhaps a couple hours of decanting is recommended.

Post Tyrrell's Dinner @ GC: Not all that expressive on the nose, it takes some time in the glass to show some lemon, oak and grapefruit. There is a powerful element to the palate but it doesn't have the lift or explosiveness of great Raveneau. Got better in the glass, but never really hit its level. Hopefully just a bit awkward/shutdown right now.

Bright, pale yellow. Distinctly Raveneau — honey, white flower, and seabreeze on the nose. Impressively concentrated and intense, racy acidity, lush texture. Excellent today but with the structure to age.

Bright, pale yellow. Killer Raveneau nose of honeyed florals, saline, and crushed rock. Significant concentration and racy acidity give this wine an impressive longevity that you don't have time to savor because you so quickly go for another sip. The 2012 Blanchot will drink well for many years.

White flower, wild flower blossom, saline, and crushed rock aromas on the elegant, pure nose. Gorgeously concentrated with biting acidity and impressive grip. Finishes intense and saline. The 2012 Blanchot has the stuffing to age effortlessly for many years. Drink starting 2020.

Best young Raveneau I've had. Great zip, minerality, really deep fruit, all perfectly balanced. Long finish. This has ages to go (as his wines do) but no shame in drinking now. Really a complete and perfect Blanchot.

70 euro off a restaurant list. Pop and pour, very ripe fruits expression, lemon curd and mineral. The second day, gain freshness and show better balance. Ripe yet precise nose displaying citrus and a hint of pear, cold mountain stream, saline, honey, mineral and a hint of white pepper. Excellent concentration, very ripe white fruit driven palate impression, mouth puckering acidity, strong presence of mineral and clean long finish. Strong presence of acidity and mineral keeps the wine fresh.

(Fra fat) På nese toner av moden gulfrukt, sitrus, voks, sjø og sitronskall. Bløt, bred og fruktdreven med god fylde og fruktsødme. Frisk syre. Flott lengde med mineralske toner og hint av smør.

Delicious aromas of citrus, sea shore and some vanilla. Intense and concentrated, but soft, dry and light bodied for a Raveneau.

This is surprisingly open, immediately. Minerals, sea shells, well balanced without any exuberance. Brilliant.

Full and ripe. Lacking a bit of energy. Fine but a little bit dull for Raveneau.
