Full yellow with a greenish glint. Citrus, honeysuckle, and iodine on the nose. Medium weight with a wonderful, mouth coating glycerine texture. Sweet lemon fruit, good salinity, and excellent stoniness which compensates for only sound acidity. Long finish. Excellent overall but it lacks the zip and tension of truly great Chablis.

Classic Raveneau at a decade - light gold in color, wonderful nose of lanolin, coconut creme pie, steely minerals. Just seamless on the palate. Too bad the prices are insane now..

Super pure, mineral-driven and fresh, with notes of lemon, citrua oil, hazelnut, chalky mineral notes, wet stone, some white flowers, fennel seed, notea of tangerine. It's medium+ bodied, with very good persistence, it has high acidity, superb tension, super long finish with so much minerality and precision. Fantastic Chablis.

After I recently had the outer worldly 2012 Blanchot, this 1er Cru is not far off. Clearly lighter on the palate, almost too light, but then it builds on the palate with an aromatic firework around lemon curd, towering minerality, pop corn. Let ng finish. Raveneau does it again.

A lost Friday afternoon gathering – 06 CDC, 02 Cristal, 08 DP, Aubert, 99 Lambreys and etc. (Clarity - Vienna, Virginia): Medium expression nose displaying concentrated pure white and yellow fruit, lemon curd, candied lemon, a hint of white peach, sea breeze, mountain stream, beeswax and wet stone. Excellent concentration, slightly coiled concentration white and yellow fruit, dense and oily but also showing good precision and focus, medium acidity and strong mineral, and a long cool white fruit driven finish with honey and beeswax at the end. Clearly not the classic definition of Chablis coming from the 12, but a classic Raveneau. This is drinking well at the moment.

There's a whiff of smoky mineral to the aroma, some mint and ripe orchard fruits. It is full, and voluminous in the mouth, loaded with sappy fruit flavours. It has a relatively low acid feel but the long finish has a hint of citrus rind bitterness that keeps everything fresh. Drinking wonderfully well.

"Single" Bottle SLDS @ Glass: Orange, oyster shells, ginger and lemon on the nose. In a nice spot on the palate, well balanced with fine control and fruit power that sits in the background. Long and lovely.

Salig utgang. Kan og bør lagres lenge videre! Likevel en sann fryd nå.

Showing inline with the vintage, with ripe orchard fruit and seabreeze. A definite sense of weight is balanced by a saline minerality and crisp acidity. Drinking well now.

Winos' excellent adventure in France; 6/22/2017-6/27/2017 (All over France): Clearly expressing the 12 vintage character, decadent nose displaying opulent yellow fruit, peach, lemon curd, saline, wet stone, crushed white pepper, a hint of beeswax and honey. Excellent concentration, quite dense and oily yet the bright acidity and strong mineral presence keep the excellent balance and precision, and a clean dense yellow fruit and mineral driven finish. Excellent showing.

not a rebuy at this price ($160), this was super creamy and rounded (but importantly didn't taste manufactured) when opened, really surprised by that, tightened up (for the positive) over two hours of drinking, got some grip / edge that wasn't there at first... acid came forward... all i will say is that the pnp experience gives me worries about the long term, buy them if you like them rich (strange for raveneau)

(Fra fat) Noe innslag av tropisk frukt på nese, med toner av gulfrukt og hint av fersken og pære. Bløtt anslag med fin fylde. Følger nesen. Flott lengde med noe smør og mineralske toner.

Yellow fruit, honeysuckle, and iodine. Bright and energetic but not at the level of the finest vintages.

Very good depth here, characteristic of most Raveneau '12s. Not as much cut or potential as the other cuvees in the vintage, but good wine, even now.
