Medium gold colour. Lemon, honey and citrus notes provide for a very enticing aroma. The palate has medium/full body and adds to the sense of power that wine's intense flavours give. Flavours of green apple are balanced with a slight caramel note. Perfectly balanced, the wines intense flavours and powerful body manage to retain just the right symmetry and never seem heavy. Already complex, this is still on its way up and will likely deliver pleasure for another 3-5 years, based upon older vintages of this wine that we have had. www.advinetures.ca

Tropical fruit and a pretty good dose of oak overall, but not "splinter in mouth" style oak, the wine wears it pretty well. Finish is decently long. Like many WA wines, tastes like a meeting of France and CA - showing a little of both styles. However, this is opulent, so I think it falls on the CA side of the border.

Spring Bacchanal with Winemaker Ken Wright (Roti Roppongi, Tokyo, Japan): Muted peach/nectarine, cream, slight hints of buttered toast. In the mouth the fruit is washed over by oak and malolactic and what fruit that there is comes over a touch bitter. Lacks harmony and balance - needs time but lacks fruit and acidity for me.

Interesting by Washington Chardonnay standards. Light body, with very good acid, and a certain Loire-like wispiness. Drinks like a cool climate Chardonnay, the palate shows citrus and tropical fruit elements, intriguing terroir element. Noticeably high alcohol on the finish.

Nice chard from Woodward Canyon, feels like it has lost just a bit since our last bottle. Definitely time to drink up.

Lots of flavor jumps out of this wine including steel, lemon and custard. Mildly warm finish. A great wine from fine people.

Consistent with previous note. Modest oak treatment, shades of Burgundy throughout..
