As Mr. Spock would say...fascinating!

An interesting bottle that’s tinged with sadness that it could have been better. It’s not super deep or rich in colour or initial palate but soaks and stains palate in a silky, fruit laden soft spread. Reasonable finish, a very good and enjoyable wine but the elephant in the room is the alcohol. Hidden and integrated very well but it’s there and you feel it as it’s virtually port levels ! 16.1% is just too much for a wine - it’s almost fortified by then. Saying that it’s got the boot and power to deal with most food and due to the fruit and acid doesn’t really show it as much as you would think. Actually a very good bottle.
What a shame it couldn’t be reigned in just a bit. Even to 14.8 %.

The only thing wrong with this wine is that it is too easy to like! ;-) A real pleasure. Too tempting to keep going with it.
The dominant grenache (60%) is very well integrated with the mourvedre (30%), syrah (10%) and French oak, and it has matured by now so that it doesn't have the overbearing character of many younger grenaches, or mourvedre for that matter.

Popped and poured. This is a medium-red wine, albeit one with significant staining capacity. On the nose, this is juicy, with raspberry, a touch of wood, and pie crust – the nose is nice, but I think is a bit shy and ungiving throughout the bottle. In the mouth, this is a lush wine with focused red fruit notes, leaving a finish of a sweet berry compote. Overall, this is not a complex wine, but is built for pleasure. It is a friendly wine, one that is open and ready to please (other than on the nose, which I find heldback). Drink over the next 5 years. 90 points.

A gorgeous GSM full of fruit... fills the mouth. Still young after six years, will get even better in a few more. Lots of red berries in there, some ripe and some not so.

PnP and the complexity of this wine is aMAZing! The nose reminds me of driving down the dirt road towards L’Aventure - green with a light dustiness. Sharp and bright on the front of my palate that explodes with precision mid-palate where the tannins sing and complexity rules. Then there’s the finish. Give me a sec, I’m still enjoying the finish. Still... still... still...

This is a Kick-A$$ Wine!! Wish we could find more at the price point we paid. If you like Rhône Rangers with Paso fruit, this is very well made and offers a ton fruit and secondary flavors. Compared with a similar varietal blend from Villa Creek and this showed more fruit, even though it had the higher alcohol content. Stellar stuff...

Great CdP notes of strawberry, raspberry and red fruits on the nose; red, blue and black fruit on the palate. Round and smooth finish. A little "hot" when opened - decant is recommended - but second glass was very good.

Wow! Poured in a decanter about an hour before dinner of sous vide dry-aged wagyu beef, baked potatoes, and mushrooms with thyme & truffle salt. This opaque beauty was easy to drink, smooth on the palate with a hint of central coast ocean on the backbone with a finish that lingers like a late night get-together of your favorite family & frinds. Stems up!

Very enjoyable and memorable!! Had never had one of these but read very positive things. Was not disappointed! Lovely soft wine with incredible flavor profile and long finish. Drank over 2 nights and got better second night. Very well made wine! Glad I have a second bottle.

Decanted through an aerator 10 hours prior to tasting then consumed over three hours. It has been two years since I approached this wine, and obviously there was no disappointment. At front palate, everything was announced: beautiful dark red berries; a comforting earthiness; suppleness spreading across the palate; and a quiet structure with the acid offering a farewell salute. Awesome in the true sense of the word.

Very expressive nose of crushed blackberry, black cherry, menthol, and clove. Slow ox 3 hours before imbibing. Voluminous and extracted on the palate following the nose. The Mourvèdre adds an element of richness and full body to the wine. Not overly complex but nice and pleasurable drinking. An above average Paso blend but the $75 price tag retail does not move me to repurchase.

Nigh undrinkable on opening. Put the cork back in and put it in the fridge. Was quite delicious 24 hours later, but I think I'm going to put these away for awhile.

Love the taste of Cote-a-Cote. This wine is in the very early days though... need a couple of years to further integrate and smooth out. For now I give it a 93, with 94-97 potential in 2-5 years for me.
Beautiful wines with nice depth, color and texture. Seems to have good aging potential. Sweet tannins, with dark berry, dried herbs, mocha. Nice mouth feel and finish.

Decanted this big, powerful beauty but should have opened the bottle the day before. Elegant, with full-bodied richness, it had wonderful notes of dark berries, toasted spice, licorice and smoke. Great balance and long finish that will only get better with cellaring. It's a good thing I bought two bottles.

Decanted through an aerator then returned to the bottle for 9 hours before consuming. Of course it is young, but already it displays a sense of sophistication, a liquid Sean Connery. The dark fruit possesses a quiet, confidant attitude challenging the impressive structure. From front to back, this bottle was really pleasurable and should only get even better.

Nice wine. Not my favorite but I did not give it a great tasting-- no decant; didn't allow to aerate much.
